Yeah yeah yeah, some like the movie some dont, but I find a christmas eve/christmas day, isnt complete, unless you see this movie.

What is your favorite part of the movie?

Mine is, when Ralphie is unwrapping the Gun, and seeing the look on the dad's face, and the look on Ralphie's face.

That look, and the happieness there?

IMO, is what is part of Christmas and what makes it great.

Makes me cant wait till my kids are in heavy christmas mode, and I get the something I HAD as a kid that I can get them.

Merry Christmas everyone, Im heading to bed.

You can add E.T. to my never watched list.

It's funny -- I've actually seen a huge number of movies. I just don't like comedies or "feel good" movies. So I avoid them. I like drama, suspense, horror or mafia movies.

Actually I've seen about 2 scenes from A Christmas Story. One is a clip of the tongue on the pole. And another one was just some blabbering that I found annoying. :lol

"Fraageelee... hmm, must be italian."

"uhm. I think that says fragile hun."
:lol

actually my fav. part is that whole slew of leg-lamp scenes.
From when his dad 1st gets the telegram that he won and he thinks it;s a bowling alley, thru when he gets the lamp and tho disappointented still trys to act like its hte best thing ever and pimps it out in the window..till the end when the mom "accidently" breaks the lamp and he baries it to taps in the backyard.

I just think its crap. And i know the script and the "what's all about" just by years of references and clips and stuff... I can tell it's crap.
Office Space... I liked it.

The best part for me is "OH MY GOD I SHOT MY EYE OUT!" after the BB bounces off the tin and nicks his cheek. I just love the intonation there.

Frrraaageeeeeelllleeeeyyyy is another favorite as is OHHHHHHH FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUDDDDDGGGGGGGGEEEEEEE.

Yeah, it is weird, but E.T. is so highly overrated that I'll give a pass to anyone who hasn't seen it. (The only part I liked about it, of course, was the scene where they ran a code on E.T., because it was filmed using a real CPR team.)

Saw A Christmas Story again on the TBS marathon today. Never stops being funny, and Darrin McGavin was never better.

See it and remove the guesswork. If a movie is shown non-stop every year, there must something to it.

& (the sequel) is to me, better than this original. -It Runs in the Family- aka -My Summer Story- in '94.

Grodin plays the old man.
Mary Steenburgen plays the mother.

Runs smoother/natural (you can (see) it better), and has a scene at the Exposition the family attends that is quite special as the old man arranges things with a Gypsy.

Culkin's brother plays "Ralphie" and is suitable.

And thats probably the first movie featuring a family of Trump supporters. The Rumpuses :lol

It would be hillarious to see the 3rd part where they are in the middle of the pandemic and the Rumpuses continue having shindigs and dropping dead one by one on a weekly basis :lol
