Spurs go a little over .500 for the month of January, lose to New Orleans and beat Minnesota to launch them into the rodeo road trip. They then win 29 of the next 31 games and get back into command in the west.

In the same thread the other day I predicted 15 and 2 and am sticking with it.

Our losses during this stretch:

1 of the 2 NO/OKC games : Spurs'll fall asleep at least once, sure as the nose on my face
1 of the 2 Memphis games: They usually do well against us ... in the regular season
1 of the two Minny games: We need some more "would you trade TD for KG?" or "Admit it KG>TD" type threads to lighten the mood
@Denver: Karl and Melo break Ray Allen's all-time piss-and-moan record
@Miami: Rasho and Nazr vs Shaq and the Refs => unfair contest
@Utah: Okur owns our collective asses; makes another buzzer-beating tip-in

"Utah"

best rebounding diff in NBA, +5.34, while the Spurs have dropped to a mediocre +0.86.

Utah destroyed Pistons@UTA on the boards to beat them, as bad as Pistons destroyed Spurs@DET.

Only two B2B's which is good, but still some tough games.

Detroit
Miami
Phoenix
Milwaukee
New Jersy (playing really really good lately)
Denver twice
Memphis twice

These are all solid playoff teams.

At the end of January the Spurs will be 33-12

Nice for the Spurs that there's only 2 back-to-backs in that 30+ day stretch.

Both Memphis games and Miami look to be tough games. I also think the Spurs may lose to Denver at home since it's an afternoon game less than 2 days after the Heat game. But, the Spurs should win most of the other games.
