When did we start sucking at making free throws? We started off pretty good this year, but the last few games have kind of sucked.

They did pretty well in the fourth when it really counted. But prior to that was a pretty dismal display.

Timmy D started out amazingly well at the charity stripe this year and I thought with him shooting around 80% that his numbers would sky rocket but he's since dropped off and the Spurs have lost some games because of free throws.

The Fox guy said last night that Tim shot 75% FTs in Nov, and 55% in Dec.

The great surprise last night was Tony shooting 11-13 FT, an aberration. :)

Spurs missed 14 FTs, won by 13 pts.

"The Spurs made 11 of their 21 free throws in the first three quarters, but went 11-for-13 at the line in the fourth"

Their free throw problems are all mental. The Spurs don't need a "shooting" coach to help with their free throws...they need a damn psychiatrist.

Pop hiring Chip is a setup. :)

By hiring a shooting coach with an excellent reputation followed by the failing to improve (FT) shooting, Pop will shut up all people calling for a shooting coach for years. Pop has always said shooting coaches were bullshit, and he's proving it! :)

Spurs have rapidly assumed their tradtional position as one of the worst FT shooting teams in the NBA, 29th out of 30.

But it doesn't matter. Spurs are 22-7! :)

Tony was 11 for 13 from the FT line.

Timmy was 4 for 8 from the FT line.

What do you think about 80% of what a shooting coach does is classified as? The mental game

The Spurs slide at the charity stripe mirrors their slide WRT wins as of late, and more accurately their lack of interest in playing ball in the fall.

Let's see how things look when the chips are down come late spring.

supposedly chip was working mainly with tony on his jump shot this summer, it seems to have had good results so far. for that alone he is worth it.
