Sometimes it's like they* have a split second breakdown. Some players do the dumbest shit sometimes. Like when Webber called that timeout, that's nothing like hooking a 1 inch shot but still shows some sort of mental collapse of common basketball sense.

you'd think he would have some form or device resembling a nutsack, but i guess not

inject his calf muscles with stem cells or something

Pop should have a shock collar that the can hit when Rasho gets the ball that low that makes him go crazy like Shaq.

Cant_Be_Faded
12-29-2005, 09:40 PM
He needs a visit from Matt Foley to improve his confidence, needs to make some sort of an improvement on his jumper, and needs stem cells injected into his calf muscles to make them more spring-like

He has gotten double the minutes. Just give Nazr more PT! Example: Playoffs 2005!

BTW Rasho has only four more pts and one more rebound than Nazr, with twice the PT.

Everytime I've seen Nazr play this season he has scrubbed it up. Now I haven't watched as many games as everyone else, but from what I've seen.....

I hope by the playoffs, Nazr will be playing like he did in the playoffs of last year, he was great for us then.

Alvarez he had a pretty bad ass game against Indiana. Pretty bad ass dunk, too. But then again, Rasho had a good dunk last game as well.

All I really care about is who gets the most dunks.

Same value but you're more likely to miss a .5 ft hook shot than a dunk. Even if a dunk results in a score 90% (should be more) of the time and a .5 ft hook shot results in a score 80% (could be less) of the time, over the course of the season, that could add up to more than a few points. And considering we've been squeaking by a lot of teams recently, those missed 2 or 4 pts and 10% could mean the difference between winning and losing a game. Not to mention that an aggressive move toward the basket could result in free throws awarded.

Rasho is a great layuper.
Making layup instead of dunk is meaningless.
If Rasho was one of the best dunker in the league (a la Kenyon Martin/Dwight Howard), he will average at best 6.0 ppg compare to the 5.7ppg he averages this year.

You can blame Rasho for not grabbing enough boards or for not taking more shots (even if a big reason is that Spurs don't make plays for him).

There have been a lot of Nazr/Rasho threads. For me the center position is still a work in progress. The thing to remember is that neither Nazr nor Rasho has gained the starting position for playing great and beating out the other while BOTH were active. Each has gained it through good play while the other was out (or away in Nazr's case).

The fact is that we can't rely on either Rasho or Nazr exclusively. That's why I'm always astounded at people who want to trade one or the other. You want to have a Rasho/Oberto or Nazr/Oberto combo going into the playoffs?

Spurs shooting team 48%, BEST IN THE NBA! by 2%,
with Brent, Michael, Nick, Robert way below the team avg with around 40% each.

It would be fantastic if our 2 b/u Shooting Guards could actually shoot well. :)

JUst dunk the ball. PLease. I did like that he came back the 2nd half and got some good scores and some nice steals and defensive stops and that the team kept looking for him, which hopefully gives him some confidence. All 3 of the Spurs centers had good games in their own ways, even Fabrizio came in and did some good things.

'his passes and screens were really good"

He knows how to play basketball, and has a straightforward "let's just play basketball" attitude, no personal agenda or luggage. I really liked the confidence he showed with his little post-up move for his only basket.

Manu threw the ball away at least once trying to pass to Fabricio. Argie mafia! :)
