We're having a party here in my neighborhood - luckily I live among a bunch of Texas Exes and UT fans. I'm thinking a twelve pack of Modelo Especial and a 750 of Jager should put me where I need to go, since I'm not going to be in the hallowed grounds of Pasadena or Austin. (There's a handle of Crown in the cupboard in case I need to call in for backup.)

Thank God my boss doesn't expect me to be at work on Thursday morning regardless of the outcome.

I've lost all objectivity about this game, I can't listen to sports radio or watch any sports related tv because when they start talking about the game I get way too worked up, and I can't even get intimate with the wife because of THIS FUCKING GAME!!! That's how bad it is, I'm thinking of just getting into some serious heroin use from now until kick-off tomorrow night, so that I can be completely numb about the whole thing, that's where I'm at right now.

As for the game, I will put on my #60 Tommy Nobis jersey tomorrow morning first thing when I wake up, and I will not take it off until they light that fucking UT Tower orange with a big fucking #1 on it. I will also begin drinking heavily and excessively first thing tomorrow morning, I'll start off with some bloody mary's and then progress to beer and scotch throughout the day. My main hope is to watch the final seconds tick off the clock as UT secures it's first national championship since 69-70, and to then pass out in my own pile of burnt orange vomit. Hook'em! :drunk

IRONY: My wife nearly went to the tu program for her Child Psych PhD, but the aTm program was more in line with her interests. We cheered hard in the Rose Bowl last yr for the Horns because we THOUGHT that was where she would go for her PhD. Funny how things change in one year, huh?

If you have NEVER been to College Station, it is TRULY Aggieland...My daughter and her posse wear Aggie Gear 60% of the time to school (for you t.u. grocery sackers, that is THREE of five days a week...and yes, contrary to popular belief amongst your brood in Austin, School IS Monday thru Friday.)

I made her cry when I told her on the phone today that I had purchased a Burnt Orange Longhorn sweater to help cheer on the Horns tonight. She knows I love football, and she knows that it will certainly be on (in Black and White so Burnt Orange does not enter our home through the CRT of the TV).

My AGGIE wife told her that when t.u .wins, my 8 yr old has to wear the Burnt Orange Longhorn sweater to school to cheer them on.
