1. Kingpin
2. Office Space
3. Half Baked

You can't tell me you weren't dying laughing when you heard the lines "We have a bull" or "there's a giant shit-cloud coming!" Super Troopers gets my vote for the funniest first 15 minutes I've ever seen in a movie, but I thought the rest of it sucked.

Lately...
#1. Super Troopers
#2. Anchorman
#3. O Brother Where Art Thou
JUST MISSED: The Life Aquatic

All-Time...
#1. Spaceballs
#2. Billy Madison
#3. Dumb & Dumber
#4. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
#5. Super Troopers
#6. Ghostbusters
#7. Uncle Buck
#8. The Man Who Knew Too Little
#9. History of the World: Part I
#10. Animal Crackers/Duck Soup (couldn't decide)
JUST MISSED: This Is Spinal Tap

Basically I like Mel Brooks, John Candy and Bill Murray. Have liked a few of Jim Carey's and Adam Sandler's films, but not as high on them as most. Haven't seen Wedding Crashers, but I don't care for Owen Wilson, so I'm unlikely to enjoy it as much as some. Along with Wilson, I don't care for Ben Stiller, Jack Black or any of the American Pie-type gross out humor.

Anything that doesn't involve Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, or Jim Carrey.

I haven't watched many comedies lately, but Lil Pimp was fucking hilarious.

All these are very funny movies.

I'm a little surprised that Austin Powers, esp Goldmember, wasn't mentioned more often. The density and sophistication of visual and spoken humor is amazing, can stand many re-watchings. Mike Meyers is yet-another-Canadian who makes us laugh. A great comedy writer and actor.

Meh, Clerks II was a major letdown. It seemed like Mr. Smith went for the easy laugh this time around. The dialogue was much, much better in the original i.e. subcontractors who needlessly died building the Death Star.

The problem with most of these new comedies is that they are only funny in spurts or for half of the movie.

Well, I picked clerks II for two moments that are comedic history.
1. Making the LOTR fan throw up after a beautiful tirade by 3 fantasy nerds.
2. Jay doing the Buffalo Bill dance. I literally cried laughing, it was beautifully disgusting.

See, that's what I'm talking about. The dialogue should have been much better than what turned out to be a rehash of "you know how I know you're gay?" bit. Maybe I expect a little more from KS.

Would you fuck me? I'd fuck me. ... definitely the best part of the movie.

It was lacking...but I believe that just because those two parts are historically funny and brilliant, that it leaves this movie as a top 5 comedy over the last few years.

It is kind of like the Diamondbacks team from a few years ago....they just had Randy and Schilling, but those two are so great that they were a world series team.
