The prosecution is definately trying to **** Kobe on this records thing. Kobe wanted the evidence sealed because he didn't want his wife to find out about his other girlfriend. Now that the cat is out of the bag (prosecution sent a recording of his police interview to the Vail Daily--jesus) Kobe wants ALL of the evidence out in the open. It's only fair.

Let the public see what kind of a witch hunt they were on. Use any evidence that proves guilt but ignore any evidence that disproves guilt.

This is what pisses me off about our judicial system. There is no "search for truth" during a trial as there should be. It's all about winning and losing. The prosecutors absolutely convince themselves of a defendents guilt so they can WIN their case. They accomplish this by ignoring any evidence that might prove detrimental to their case (and thus freeing an innocent man).

This is why non-rich people get fucked up the ass by the judicial system every day. They can't afford the kind of lawyers that will sift through all the evidence and find the flaws in the prosecution's case. Sure, some guilty people go free because of this but on the flip side how many poor bastards are sitting in prison because they couldn't afford a high priced attorney to defend them properly? "Better a hundred guilty men go free than one man be unjustly imprisoned" (or some shit like that)

As I get older (52) and realize how all this stuff actually works it sends me closer to Michael Douglas' character in "Falling Down". I'm too much of a wimp to take an uzi into a McDonald's but I sure can see where he's coming from.

So, the next time you see some rich guy get away with murder think about all those poor suckers rotting away in prison.

I would like to add that the more evidence I see in the Kobe case the more I'm convinced that all he is guilty of is fucking around on his wife. If that's a punishable crime then all of our major sports are in BIG trouble. Also, I would LOVE to see how Kobe's accuser changed her statement. I hope that is released.
