(Come Back To Texas)" to Bowling for Soup's music

He said he needed a break
a little time to think
but then he went to the Rose Bowl
with some guy named Limas
that he met at the school

There's nothing wrong with New Orleans
except the floods and the hurricaines
I really like Bourbon St
and I'd love to see the French Quarter

So when your done doing whatever
and when your thru doing whoever
you know Travis County will be right here waiting for you....

Come back to Texas
It won't be the same if you go away
Before you lose your accent
and forget all about the Lonestar State
There's a seat for you at the rodeo
and they've got every two a days saved
Besides the Mexican food sux East of here anyway

I think it will be a mistake
Its not that easy to take
He wants to make a huge deposit
and clean out his closet
Guess I'll sit here and wait

For him to come back home (I'd wish you come back home)
it shouldn't take very long (so long so long)
I bet he will misses 6th Street
and misses the bats, but i could be wrong

So when your done doing whatever
and when your thru doing whoever
you know Travis County will be right here waiting for you....

Come back to Texas
Its just not the same since you went away
I bet you missed your exit
and drove right on thru the Lone Star State
There's a seat for you at the rodeo
and they've got every two a days saved
Besides the Mexican food sux north of here anyway

Mac Brown wants you back
Willie Nelson wants you back
NASA wants you back
and the Bush twins want you back
and Pantera wants you back
and Blue Bell wants you back

I got a premonition
I'm taking a petition
and the whole state's gonna sign

Come back to Texas
Its just not the same since you went away
Before you lose your accent
and forget all about the Lone Star State
There's a seat for you at the rodeo
and they've got every two a days saved

Come back to Texas
Its just not the same since you went away
Before you lose your accent
and forget all about the Lone Star State
There's a seat for you at the rodeo

Besides the Mexican food sux north of here anyway

Seriously, Vince would be crazy to not go pro this year, his stock is at an all time high,,,he will lose David Thomas, his favorite receiver, and 3 Offensive lineman......he risks injury.....I love watching this guy play college ball, but the NFL will love this guy, and he will be making over 10 million dollars in a signing bonus in 7 months....he has to leave.

He will not go top 5 this draft, even with this spectaculor performance. He will be back at Texas

You're crazy, he has a great chance at going #1.

For selfish reasons unfortunately Vince is going pro. He is not going to turn down $40 million signing bonus.

He will be the first QB picked.....if I were Houston, I would trade down with New Orleans, get an extra pick and draft Young over Reggie.

I want him to come back (obviously) and think Mack Brown is the coach you want to have trying him to get him back - since Brown has never lost a player early to the draft - but really, I can't blame in him in the least if he leaves. Unless he just loves the college experience that much, which may be, he'd be crazy not to go.

He seems like the Heisman is pretty important to him, maybe that will be a deciding factor.

A point to consider:

If New Orleans moves to San Antonio, can you imagine the support and ticket sales if Vince Young is their QB?

They would sell out every game, people from Austin would drive the 90 miles each and every game.

I hope it happens.

I gew up a Longhorn fan because I am from SA, when I moved here, I was brainwashed by the Aggies.

I think I am going back to UT....I did go to the UT dental school, you know.

Ummmm...not to be argumentative, Jim (you know I would never do that)...but I seem to recall you once saying you were most definitely NOT from Texas, but from Maryland...

Hmmmmmmmm?

Hmmmmmmmm?

I moved to Texas in 1965 as a child, stayed there until 1984, when I moved here. My mom is buried there...it is my hometown.

Went to Maryland.

He should go pro, but I hope he stays. Who is the quarterback next year if he leaves? Colt McCoy, or a true freshman(Jevan Snead, Sherrod Collins), and that's a scary thought.

I hope it would be one of the mccoys

If VY wants to get paid now and play in his hometown, he goes pro. Drafting him would give the Texans a boost in establishing a fan base statewide as well as reenergize the home crowd.

Yeah, but would it make the Texans any better?
