This is why he deserves the MVP this year. Honestly, their whole roster has been reloaded with brand new team-mates....and he still manages to work it. Absolutely amazing.

Those assists were not impressive..

they are doing great from a shooting standpoint.

I'd be crazy to think the NBA's assist leader wouldn't get those kinds of numbers in that position.

I doubt Nash will stop doing what he's doing (as long as he remains injury free). He's making Raja Bell look like the second coming of Manu Ginobili. He deserves an MVP just for that! :spin

They're a scoring team...
He's dishing on fast breaks...

Their team is based on that to win.

No one has a good enough defense to stop it except for the elite teams.

I don't think Nash deserves it this year.

The assists are impressive mainly because he has twelve of them after the 1st quarter.

How about the Heat getting spanked? Sure no Wade tonight, but still, this is brutal.

They're a running team, because of Steve Nash's court vision and ability to run the team on the court allows them to be. A team with Boris Diaw, Kenny Thomas, and Raja Bell would not be considered a very good scoring team in and of themselves.

Not to be a buzzkill on the 47 point 1st qtr. but the Heat are sitting their starting backcourt (Wade and J-Will).

You gotta recognize.

Suns hit everything in the first quarter.

They shot %68 for the half. They only had 1 unassisted basket.

something else that is interesting......

Wade and Williams are not playing and Shaq is only 2-6. WTF!

Hell, even Kapono took 14 shots.

Good thing Shaq was sworn in as a "Captain" in the Maricopa County Sheriff's Dept., because the way he looks this year, I'd have to say his basketball days are numbered.

1. I think they would've been a good running team without Nash, all of them love to run and we can all tell so.

2. Kenny Thomas is not with the Suns.

3. Boris-Diaw, Kurt Thomas, and Raja Bell love to shoot the ball and run, as well as play defense.

How would it not be considered a good scoring team?

I don't know if he deserves MVP this year. Billups is playing out of this world.

However i do think D'Ant is COY so far. He has an almost entirely new team this year and has instilled a defensive team as well. Last year he didn't have to do anything except let the players run. This year he's actually coaching.

nash is a great offensive point guard there is no denying that.

But his problems on the defensive end bring him down a few notches IMO.

Below guys like Billups and Parker.

Batman -nash had 12 assists in one quarter, i dont give a **** about you being frustrated
Billups is still way ahead of him right now in MVP run, i saw only about 10 pistons games this year, but he is playing monster basketball atm. Parker got no chance for mvp, not on a team with duncan and manu, but if he plays the same in playoffs and makes a buzzer beater or two along the road he should get playoff mvp.
