ITs about time.

The guy has been an overvalued lottery pick for a long time.

He was going to be a throw in player before the season in the Darko Milicic for Al Harington trade. I bet the Pistons front office is kicking themselves.

He was the 21st pick, how was he overvalued?
21st is a lottery pick? Weren't you one of the people who was making fun of the people who wanted to trade for him?
Who looks smart now? Diaw is just exploiting the great potential that we knew he had. Moreover he would have been the young and long SF the spurs were seeking. It hurts even more now that he is playing for the Spurs biggest threat in the west (sorry Mavs fan).

Apparently he sucks. This thread was fun to read back through.

No thanks.

I prefer one that does not pass up shots.

Dont bring up Brent Barry either.

Diaw is going to get the Joe Johnson bug when Amare comes back and steals the show.

do you watch Sun's game
the games I can watch, I see suns problems when Boris was out.
Amare will bring bask in a good team and he should make his place
like Manu, his first games, he probablmy play less.

Well if Amare comes back and is close to 100% than you might be right. Without Amare or a Chris Webber type Amare Dallas should be able to beat Phoenix.

Atlanta made a huge mistake in letting this guy go. They simply overpaid for JJ. How's that deal working out?

ATL continued to show what geniuses they were by passing on Chris Paul instead selecting Marvin Williams. How's that pick working out?

Truly a dumb-ass organization.

Atlanta is just a bad organization.

There's a NBA player who plays (or played) for them who said that one time they were on the road and he was supposed to go to the trainer to get therapy like at 7PM at the hotel. He went to the trainer's room at 7 .. he wasn't there. He went back at 8 ..10 .. 12 .. and then at 2am. The trainer finally showed around 3am drunk .. he had been out partying.

NBA trainers are supposed to be available 24/7 for the players to get them ready to play. This player was a starter on their team. That's just an example of how shabby their organization is.

I know another player who was working out for them in a tryout and got hurt by one of their current players fouling him hard. The player (who wasn't employed at the time) needed an MRI and the Hawks refused to pay for it .. even though it was in their practice facility at their workout.

They are just shabby and will always be losers.

Diaw biggest problem is that he is not a good finisher, but he is a good slash and dish guy. The problem is that he just doesn't have anybody to pass to when he slash, and he was forced to shoot shots that he couldn't make. Now, in the free flowing Suns offense, he can kick it out when needed, and make the layup when he's open, works out great for him.

Diaw is kind of guy who thrives within a team game. Obviously, that doesn't work in Atlanta.

He does have some key weaknesses that can be exploited given the preparation time a coach gets for a playoff series.

I agree. Diaw will also be one less 3 point threat for Phoenix. They can double Amare if they want to.

Why would you double Amare and leave Diaw open???

About Diaw, TP said:
He is definitely a scorer but he has not realised yet.

If you let him play, he will punish you.
