The longhorns are now officially ranked 8th

Mr Dio

QB will be a very interesting camp issue for UT now.

Expect Blalock to come out as well.

San Fran should have traded the #1 overall last year and done something in this years draft to get a QB. Cuz both Leinart and V. Young will be better than Alex Smith. :(

San Fran has a horrible front office. Oh well, at least they gots 5 rings.

Jims50 has officially lost a bet to me.

UT will be just fine because they are loaded with athletes who can step-up. The other guys just never had to do so much because Vince was unstoppable.

Heard this from Sooner Country- OH YEAH!

Dio, you think Blalock will leave? I figured he would stick around just to get stronger and move up in the draft next year.

Good decision by Vince, as much as I hate to see him go. UT has a few good prospects, but they're still only prospects. A redshirt guy named Colt McCoy (which just screams UT legend) and Jevan Snead, a true freshman, who looked good in the AA Bowl yesterday. They definitely won't be as scary without Vince - but with Charles, Melton, Ramonce, Sweed, Pittman, et al returning - they'll make some noise.

I saw McCoy play in some garbage time. He can run pretty good, he never threw the ball because they were up by so much so I have no idea if he can throw good with accuracy but i'm sure he can. Atleast we will still have some QBs that can run and throw but won't be as good as Vince. Hopefully they're close to him....

With VY leaving he will be paired w/THills as OTs & a very young(no pun intended) QB under C for UT. The O might not do as well & so JB's stock might not be so hot next yr.
I'd love for him to stay though, Lord knows UT's next QB will need major OL help.

If you saw a McCoy play, it was Matt McCoy - because Colt's a redshirt freshman, and hasn't played in a game.

Supposedly, Colt has a big time arm. He runs about a 4.7, so he can move around - but he's a pocket passer. Good size - 6'3, 195.

The only weakness that Vince Young has to his name is that he prefers to run to the right. What kind of weakness is that? I always ask myself, cuz I don't understand how one is so bad ass at only running in one direction in relation to a football field, but its his ONLY FUCKING WEAKNESS.

His arm went from serviceable to good to bad ass....and he still has room for improvement on that.

A shortcoming is a shortcoming, and 279 total yards for an UNDISPUTED HEISMAN WINNER is still a shortcoming.

And the longhorns weren't even the best defense in the ncaa.

Team speed totally took Reggie Bush out of his running game. I'm not trying to make an argument for him being a bad player, he's fucking 3lit3, but if he's an undisputed number 1 pick, its only because of the hype this bitchass got during the road to the rosebowl.

Because Tom Benson keeps talking to the SA Mayor and he wants the Saints in SA.

And I have my doubts about Bush, what does he weigh in at? Under 200??
No doubt he has talent though.

Everyone is expecting Bush, Leinart, and Young to go 1,2,3, (in whatever order) but I have a feeling there will be a major surprise in the second or third picks, with the entrance of another name, ala the Raptors taking Villanueva. I know it's a longshot, since the players seem to fit team needs.

I'm also thinking that at least one of the teamswill trade out of the top 3.

If the Texans pick Bush, what kind of picks could they get in this years draft for D. Davis?? Would be nice to strengthen that O-line. Would they even trade Davis??

Yeah, I saw part of that interview, I assumed all that was going on is that he was trying to salvage some of the fan base he had gained here. Looks like it worked.

I live in Del Rio, and I would be extremely proud for SA to get an NFL team, and I think they deserve it, But I have grown tired of the possible outcomes changing every couple of weeks and stopped paying attention to that story.
I think it has became extremely obvious that Tag is hell bent on the fact that SA will never get an NFL franchise as long as he is the commisioner, and possibly beyond, He must be a Laker or Pistons fan.

The NFL and the Saints are going back to Louisiana for a year, knowing it will fail miserably so that they can save face, say hey we tried, and go to Cali.
Benson knows this, that's why he gave in so easily in regards to playing next year in Louisiana, he sees the riches in Hollywood.

With all that said I hope that by some miracle SA gets an NFL team soon, but they would be better of with waiting a couple of years ans getting an expansion franchise, less likely, I know.

Ok, back to the topic

Tom Benson does not have the sway with the other owners that Al Davis did. When put to a vote, 2/3 of the owners must back any move, all Tags needs to do is get 11 votes to stop him. He undoubtedly has Dallas and Houston's votes already.

My new perception of Tom Benson is that he is a Drama King. He also folded like the French Army the day he had that meeting with Tags.
