Part owner of Paris Basket Racing, Tony Parker, may have a new asset. Viktor Sanikidze. Could PBR become New developmental team? For Split? Or maybe a cloaked farm team for the Spurs too, if they can re-up with Tony. 8)

* Paris Basket Racing officially reached an agreement with KK Split to sign Igor Perica (202-F/C-69) to a 2-year contract. The Croatian center had previously reached an agreement to play with Split in 2004-05. Perica is the first recruit of the new staff of PBR. According to an article published last Friday in local newspaper "Le Parisien", Paris BR could become a farm team and bring Serbian/American center Robert Rothbart and Giorgi Tsintsadze (192-G-86), Giorgi Mamatsashvili (198-F-86) and Viktor Sanikidze (203-F-86, college: Globe Tech JC), all three from Georgia. The signing of these prospects has not been confirmed by Paris Basket Racing. Training camp starts tomorrow for the Parisian club who has only 5 players under contract : Laurent Sciarra (194-G-73, agency: Interperformances), Luc Arthur Vebobe (203-F-80, college: Hawaii), Bill Phillips (208-F-79, college: St.Joseph's), Mamoutou Diarra (198-F-80) and Igor Perica (202-F/C-69).

Very interesting. Apparently the Spurs took a look at him a couple weeks back and decided that he needed a little more seasoning.

Just like Ginobili, set it and forget it.

Sanikidze would benefit more here, than in Paris.

True, but he'll be able to gain extra hand-eye coordination and dexterity working with his hands more at Paris Basket Weaving. 8)

sanikidze could use playing time.

he'll get that in paris.

he wouldnt get that here.

the determination i'm sure came down to the spurs felt he could learn more on the floor than he could in practice against nba players at this time in his development.
