something about that shirt reminds me of the smell of fresh cut grass and aspercream.

grandpa wrapping up a day old enchilda in a fresh flour tortilla and taking bites of it out on the back porch between puffs on his Winstons.

fucking classic.

I had one, and I got it long ago at one of those Ol' "LA Feria" stores that were here, I only wore it a couple of times, Super Bowl XXI and when the Pope came to town.

Man, my grandfather (also white) used to wear those all the time.

a Guayabera, and some badass Sansabelt slacks, and some kickass shoes.

My grandfather used to dress like a fuckin pimp all the time, and would throw on the Aramis cologne even if he was just going to the store. He was a ladies man until he died. I remember we would allways go to the Auto Show thats at the convention center every year, and he would allways go out of his way to talk to the ladies that were introducing the new rides on those turnstyles. Man, he was smooth with that, he would allways make em laugh, he was the O G PIMP!

Even when he would go in for his cancer treatments, he would allways go in a dress shirt and slacks and cologne, no matter how he felt after a cemo treatment. Also when he passed, he had about 5 or 6 of his nurses stop by and pay their resepcts on their lunch break! But that how he did things.

sorry to go an a personal segway, but guayabera shirts allways make me think of him.

anybody know where I can score a couple of those shirts, I want to wear one and pay a little tribute to him in the process.

I think once I hit 40 something I will begin to wear them. Not right now though. A lot of my unlces wear them and I don't want them to think I am trying to be like them.

I met a girl in Chile years ago and she was yelling "Mi Gusta! Mi Gusta! Si!" all night. No idea what it means.
