Pistons lost a game, and the Spurs turned and lost one, too, unable to close the L gap.
If the Mavs lose tonight, will the Spurs be able to win vs Pistons, simultaneously closing the game on the Pistons while opening the gap with the Mavs?
A Spurs win Thu night would be hugely significant for so many reasons.

wheres the dallas defense? hahahhaha
Their defense hasn't been bad, but they've given up a lot of offensive boards. It's one of those nights where the ball just doesn't bounce to you, and the Mavs darn near won it.
PS Dirk is not clutch.

Ummmmm, defensive rebounding is a huge part of DEFENSE. I understand getting a few unlucky bounces and when long rebounds just go the other way, but Dallas allowed 28 ... TWENTY-EIGHT offensive rebounds to the Knicks. Box out better, get your guards to help rebound. When you let the other team get 28 rebounds on their own glass, it's not just one of those nights where the ball just doesn't bounce to you.
It's bad defense.

Well Dirk was playing alot of center today because they need to get more minutes for Van Horn. That was why the rebounding was bad.

Look, fuckshit, I don't say nice things about the Mavericks very often. Ask mavsfan1000. I'll be damned if I'm going to be made to do it twice in one day. I had to say something before "Dirk is not clutch" so if you want to argue about something don't make it the Mavericks, who I hate almost as much as the shitty overrated Pistons.

We need losses like this. It helps open Cuban's eyes to the fact that this team just won't cut it. I mean we have lots of problems that are being covered by our poseur winning record!

Mavs fans care WAY too much about regular season games. It's the Cowboys mentality: Greatest team in the universe after a win, destined for last place after a loss.

And it gave Cueball yet ANOTHER opportunity to gripe about the officiating (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/basketball/mavs/stories/011206dnspomavsbriefs.17dabfba.html).
