Exactly like the Pistons.com board was like after we lost to Utah. Twice. :D

75% Pistons and Spurs fans agreeing that it doesn't mean much,
10% Spurs fans calling for major shakeup of team
8% Pistons trolls vigorously shaking hands with themselves (i.e. wanking)
7% Spurs whiners blaming the refs

Can I put some vBookie on this?

No heart....When are we going to make a run at artest?....Damn Turnovers.....Missed free throws......If only Rasho had dunked instead of tried a floater........Why did Nazr drop that pass......

We should start those threads right now to get it over with.

If they play like Champs and lose, wonderful.
sh!t happens in sports, ask the 05 Finalists. :)

If they play like Champs and win, yawn.
They're supposed to win. They could just as well break our hearts with a loss Sat night. :)

If they play like Chumps and lose, WGAF?
It's the Spurs spectacularly under-performing in January :)

The key, I've discovered, to following the Spurs in the season is not to invest too much in them, because you'll just get your heart broken by shit losses like Hornets, Bucks, Hawks. Amare-less Suns.

Unlike riding a bicycle where you never forget how, the Spurs, even with all of them back from a Championship, have to re-learn how to play winning basketball every season.

By design, IMO.

1) AHF will blame Pop and the refs and the poor substitutions
2) Boutons will say this team has no heart or instinct
3) IceColdBrewski will finally post here, undoubtedly blame Tony Parker for the loss and say we need to trade him
4) Ducks will retaliate by calling out Manu saying, if he could play more than 30 minutes a game, he'd be more useful, causing him to get into his usual fight with Smeagol, Alvarez, Manumania, and Hendrix
5) Walton will bitch about Duncan's heartless play
6) Ed Helicopter Jones will reply with one word SPAM
7) X Factor and TDMVP (or whatever the hell his screen name is) will come in and gloat about how the Spurs suck and make random general statements that have absolutely no logic or truth behind it
8) Gullible posters will fall for it and reply to him, only adding fuel to the fire
9) Someone (probably T_Park) will start a "It's only one loss" no biggie, quick over-reacting thread
10) Shoogarbear will have his usual sarcastic, joke responses in the threads, Jimc50 will bitch about all the vbookie he lost
11) Majority of the female posters, SpursWoman, Shelly, Obiwan, Angel_Luv, 1Parker1 will stick with posting in The Club for the next few days, until the craziness dies down.
12) Kori will have to put a notice that she is merging threads and that people should look at other threads before posting new ones on the same things.

Did I get everything?

Nice job.:)

I will also not care as much as usual this time of year, because my Redskins are actually still playing...... on Saturday.

Kori used to refer to them as "suicide notes" so I always get a mental image of people throwing themselves from tall buildings when the Spurs lose. But, for the most part, I like the Pistons trolls. I think they're the best trolls we have. :)

Don't know. IMO, it is pretty enjoyable now, as opposed to 1 year ago. Myself, X-Factor, darko99, and Kingpin are all mods now and we really get some great discussion going. Some oldies have returned, including Lou (at times), TallKev, Combs, and Voice for a bit. He kinda got ran out again. Don't know why you were banned. An e-mail to P.com may go a long way. I know others have returned, albeit it with a new sn, and have been allowed to stay.

The only problem is there isn't a TON of posters like there is here. This is probably the best sports MB around.

I'd take the loss as a positive because it will serve as a wake up call for the spurs. If they win I'm be happy that they're on pace to playing championship basketball.

See either way I'm happy.

People will exaggerate either way no matter what happens, but the fact of the matter is we all know these are the best two teams in the league (by far might I add) and are destined for another Finals classic.

The real question is what if we win? That means we'll both have won our home games, and right now Detroit has the edge as far as home cour advantage....

"we'll both have won our home games"

check the rules for playoff tiebreakers. AFTER first rule of "better season record vs tied opponent". the rules favor best conference status, meaning Pistons have the edge in weaker EC.

Spurs' best hope for Finals HCA is to have best overall record, period.

A W tonight would be a huge step in that direction.

i dont post here much, but there are way too many people on these boards who freak out about games like last night. regardless if its the pistons or the hawks, face reality, the spurs are not going to win every game. they are still a badass team so cry about losses when the playoffs come around, when it counts.
