View Full Version : loosers

Ed Helicopter Jones

Since when did the word loser earn a second "o"? I think I saw that spelling in three separate posts on the front page in the Spurs forum. My conclusion is that anyone who writes the word "looser" is a "loser".

WTF! Why do so many people mess that up? Why!!???!!!

Same goes for "there" and "they're" and "their". I'd say only half of the folks in hear use those write!

Now I'm not professing to be the perfect punctuator, but damn, people, let's quit contributing to the dumbing down of the freaking universe every time someone posts something!

Timvp is going to have to start handing out spurs two people who can make it threw a complete sentence without boffing it up!

Damnit!

Fvck!

Go to school!

That is all!

Damn.

Damn.

It's even worse when the title to a thread is misspelled--such as "Oprah got scamed" and you have to see it every time you go to the main page!

The foreign posters can be forgiven. I've noticed it primarily in the younger posters. What's the freaking deal?!!! Are grammatical skills no longer being taught in school? What's the future hold for us? I'm sensing a bunch of illiterate, unemployed, Paris Hilton worshipping wannabe's that the rest of the literate world is going to end up having to support.

WTF?!!! Again!

I'm scared. Hold me.

That is my biggest pet peeve! There is this woman (and yes.. WOMAN...she's 30 something) that always gets coarse and course wrong. She'll type "Of coarse". I can't stand it.

A couple of weeks ago instead of "Granted" she put "granite". No really.

I also hate when people get woman and women wrong too.

I could go on and on about this subject. Why did you get me started Ed? lol

I'm amazed at the number of intelligent people who spell "definitely" as "definately."

On a personal note, I was in my early twenties when I was told there was no such word as "avaidable." That was my wake up call.

I'm cool with "nekkid" though.

(Pro)noun/verb agreement still kills me.
