$8,170,936,856,602.44 and counting.

Current national debt due mostly to needless tax-cuts.

Haven't you heard the latest? We run a surplus in December. May have been
one of those Clinton surpluses, you know we are running a surplus, but still
running up a national debt. How did that happen, I wonder. And those
were the good old Clinton days.

well duh - no doubt there is a national debt - you have to spend money to make it don't ya dan rather? now that we have procured the oil in Irag and the Opium trade in Afghanistan - watch how that national debt dwindles away as Bush funnels that money we went to war for into the economy and just eliminates that debt.

By the way has anyone seen Kenneth Lay ? we need him to head up another "company" to launder this oil / opium money and eliminate the debt ?

Someone is making money on the Opium trade in Afghanistan, but it's not the American people, and as far as the oil we 'procured in Iraq', well, it does no good to the West if we can't get it out of the ground and out of Iraq safely now does it?

Speaking of Kenny, if you haven't seen Enron:The Smartest Guys In The Room - I highly recommend it if you want to catch up on some of Lay's shennanigans - quiet entertaining.
