I'm not trying to make excuses but Finley's going to have to figure out how to make his limited shots. Whether he starts, is the 6th man or the 12th.
He's not use to having only 4 shots and expected to hit those. He's not use to having a shot come as many as 5-6 minutes apart. He MUST figure that out or he won't be of use offensively to the Spurs.

Chauncey needs 1 point, and 3 rebounds.
It would be the worst Triple Double in NBA history. Chauncey sucked tonight. 6 TO's and countless bad shots. Him chucking 3s let the Spurs get back in it momentarily.

Let's go easy on the Fire Pop chants. There's nothing that he could have done, as far as substitution patterns, to prevent this loss. To think that putting in Nazr, for instance, would magically have led us to a victory is foolish. And don't we think that, after 3 championship titles, Pop has earned a little bit of respect?
This is what we have. A good team. A very good team. One that, frankly, I was surprised beat the Pistons last year in the Finals. And they certainly can't hang with the Pistons right now.

Rasheed played a perfect game. Didn't bitch at the refs, went to the post, rebounded, knocked down some 3's to strech the defense, and gave Timmy hell on the other end. That's Rasheed showing his newfound focus after his screw up in game 5.

Easy to say for a Piston's fan, but...
Good game. I am serious when I say that I am not exactly sure what conclusions to draw from that game except that its another W.
Teams arent even in the same conference and I would purport that a 7 game series is much, much different than 2 games inside 30 days.
Hope to see you in June

Tough to call winning 6 of 7 a slump, but yea. I expect Manu and Timmy to play better next time we play. As for the Pistons missing 11 in a row... Yea, they're capable of that. Especially with a big lead. They get very conservative and those shots stop falling. That's the bad side to a big lead. It tends to change the way you play.
THE X-FACTOR
01-12-2006, 11:09 PM
Pistons were not aggressive enough only 4 free throw attempts, they are not going to win many games that they only take 4 free throws. It is only a regular season game so it doesn't mean a thing, Manu needs to start.

The Pistons played great and absolutely deserved to win. They really look good right now - they are really playing as a team and their moves are amazingly fluid. The way they were passing the ball, it often looked like they were just playing with the Spurs.
