There is no fuckin way Manu does not start from now on. Look at Detroit. Their starting 5 is awesome and their bench is below average; yet, they are the best team in the league by far. Pop, your strategy has failed. No big deal. Correct it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Flip is playing the Detroit starters way too much. Come April, May and June, those guys will be worn out. I think Pop has fucked up the rotation this year, but at least he isn't wearing guys out.

Rip Hamilton: 37 mpg
Tayshaun Prince: 37 mpg
Ben Wallace: 36.7 mpg
Chauncey Billups: 35.5
Rasheed Wallace: 34.9

Tim Duncan: 35.6 mpg
Tony Parker: 34.9 mpg

Tim and Tony are playing about just as many minutes as the Pistons starters. So, why is it "wearing them out" when it's the Piston, but not the Spurs?

i don't think the det starters are playing much more than they did last year, and they got stronger as the finals went on.

Because it is only 2 starters vs all 5 starters.

EDIT: Jam got it first...

BTW, the Pistons starters are playing less minutes than last year...

They're playing less than last year as a whole (and today we had no backup PG, forcing us to playing Tayshaun at the Point). Plus Tayshaun (leading us in minutes) is only playing about 1 minute more per game than Duncan (who is older and injured). So does that mean that Duncan is going to be worn out for the playoffs? Or does it just affect the Pistons?

I just don't see how 5 seperate players playing 34-36mpg is any worse than Duncan, Parker, and Bowen playing that many minutes. You do realize the players are seperate people, correct? Individuals don't get MORE fatigued just because they're teammates are playing just as much as they are.

The fact is, we have no one in the top 35 in minutes per game. So I don't think it's an issue.

Bowen plays 35 minutes per as well...

Chauncey: 36 TP: 35

Rip: 37 Manu: normally 30-32

Sheed: 35 TD: 36

Ben: 37 Rasho/Nazr: 22 & 13

Tay: 37 Bowen: 35

Looks pretty much like a wash to me. Believe me, Pop would love Rasho or Nazr to establish themselves so he could play them 30 - 34 Minutes...

BTW, the Pistons starters are playing less minutes than last year...

Chauncey is older then Tony, Rasho/Nazr is two people vs Detroit's one. I still say so many minutes for the Pistons starters will hurt them in the long run.

If Tony, Duncan, and Bowen can play 35+, why can't the Pistons? I just don't get it. The difference is we don't have role players in our starting lineup like Rasho and Finley. All of them would play the same minutes they do here if they were on seperate teams, and no one would say a word. People are just baffled by depth of out starting lineup.

Right, and both of them put together don't equal half of Ben...

Do you honestly think if Pop had a 5 anywhere near as good as Ben he wouldn't play him 33-37 minutes per?

No he wouldn't, not at this point of the season. An increased win total means nothing to Pop, as long as they make the playoffs. May and June are the only months that matter.

Then why's he playing TD 36 mins per with a bad wheel? Or Bowen who's averaging more than his age in minutes?

EDIT: Not how I meant the Bowen thing...I mean at 34, that's a ton of minutes if you are only playing for June...

Exactly, he's just trying to come up with excuses. None of our starters are going to be any more "fatigued" than Tim, Tony, and Bruce.

And if we get home court locked up with a few games to spare, that will probably be entirely out the window. All it takes is a few days rest to get back to 100%.

That's because that's the only knock anyone has on the Ps right now, which when you look at it rationally, makes no sense at all...
