That is not the match where he ripped off his ear. He ripped it off during a match with Big Van Vader in a non-televised match in Germany. His neck almost got tangled in the barbed wire, but it busted and his hands got ripped to shreds.

Japanese death matches are the shit. I have one where some dude named Mr. Pogo uses a sickle to slice at some dudes ear and leaves it hanging. He also sets the guys head on fire by spitting flaming alcohol on him.
