5 games before the allstar break and then he will not have to go
and he will have close to 2 weeks to rest his foot.
rasho has stepped up when duncan actually sat. so I do not think this is a bad idea. If the spurs lose games now because of this but if he is healthy come playoff time it will be a great move
spurs can beat the pistons without home court if they all playing the way they are capable (have not seen much of that yet though)

They said that he could sit for two MONTHS, and it might not go away. What if they drop to fourth seed (or lower!) and he's still not better? I'd rather fight from the top seed with an unhealthy Tim than take the chance to fight from fourth or lower with an unhealthy Tim.
Play him. If they get lucky, maybe he actually tears the PF, which is one of the cures. It's a totally unneeded piece of connective tissue.

Yeah but I thought he's going for the record of consecutive ALL STAR appearances.
EVERY year since he been in the L he has made it, why not goto this one? All he can do is tell coach not to play him but a couple mins.

My question is, how does this injury compare to the sprained ankles Duncan had last year. This injury is obviously bothering him more, or at least it is slowing down his productivity. Seems like this is more painful

How many years left on Duncan's contract + options??
Just curious if they are kissing up to him (letting him play cause he wants to when coach wants him to rest really).?

Pop said he can tell right away in a game how Tim is feeling. On the off nights Tim often ends up like 6-19 in those games. Why does Pop keep forcing the ball into Tim when he knows he doesn't have it?
Pop needs to recognize that and let Tim be the ultimate role player and set up teammates, rebound, and block shots on nights he's not feeling well and let other guys carry the load.
I'd take it so far as sitting Tim the second night of back to backs, he obviously is much worse those nights.

It all started with those stupid BEEPing nipple patches...
When you start looking for legal dope then there is something else wrong.
They need a team diet too. Not letting them eat at Friggin McDonalds...
NO MSG!!!

I don't know why people keep saying that. Brunson kept playing early in the season with plantar fasciitis. He tore his -- and he's out four-five months. I don't think that's the cure we want.

Without a healthy Tim im afraid the mighty Spurs have no chance at beating the Pistons.
Even with a healthy Tim it will be a daunting task against a much improved Pistons offense.
