Tony Parker said his youngest brother, Pierre, met with UTSA coaches Friday to discuss transferring to the university.
Pierre, a 6-foot-3 guard, was playing at Loyola in Chicago but asked to transfer in hopes of playing more at another school. Loyola granted the sophomore his release this week.
Pierre and his father, Tony Sr., who also played at Loyola, met Friday with Roadrunners coach Tim Carter. If UTSA decides to sign Pierre — which it has yet to do — he would not be eligible to play until December of next season. He could enroll in classes as soon as next week, however.
Pierre averaged 1.2 points and 0.6 assists in 10 games this season. He played in 29 games, starting five, as a freshman.
Loyola signed Pierre after he was a third-team all-Illinois selection at Lisle High School outside Chicago.
Parker's other brother, T.J., spent three seasons at Northwestern and is now playing for Paris in France's top professional league.
