They're ranked #5 in the country which I'm very glad to see. I was worried about this team after the losses to Duke and Tenn, but they have rebounded to play some very good basketball lately. Definitely a good move letting Abrams play more at the PG spot. He's a true PG and does a good job of distributing the ball, also a very good shooter and defender for such a young guy. His move to PG has allowed Gibson to move more to the 2 spot and allow him to do what he loves best, score. I also think the perimeter defense is much improved from the beginning of the season. Now all we need is a solid ass kicking of Tech tonight. Hook'em!

that was a great game they played against Nova...hopefully they can carry that into conference play.

UT is still overrated. We can't depend on Kenton Paulino come tournament time. Sorry, but I love the guy, but he can't do everything. Daniel Gibson needs to stop making incredibly stupid fouls and start making his god damned 3's.
AJ Abrams is too little and frable to advance the ball against anyone.
LaMarcus is also very foul prone.
Buckman is also very fragile.
We need work.

^ Well, Barnes tends to have his teams playing better ball as the season progresses, kind of like Pop and the Spurs. What I've really liked is that marked improvement in defense from the beginning of the season. The perimeter defense has been outstanding lately against teams with very good guard play (Memphis, Villanova). I also like the use of the 2-3 zone, in the past UT hasn't played the 2-3 very well, mostly relying on man-to-man defense, but this team seems to be picking up and playing the zone better than past teams. Of course it helps to have a guy like Lamarcus in the middle swatting shots into the stands, 5 fucking blocks against Villanova! I'm looking forward to laying an ass kicking on Tech tonight. Get ready for ol' Bobby boy to get pissed off!

I don't know what it is but I would expect the team that beat the number 3 and 4 teams to be ranked highly, overrated or not
