I ask this because people have been logging in that ugly java chat under fake names. Like a fake TPark for one.

Is it fixed yet? If so, will anyone even use it?

It's not being fixed (it actually works fine for a lot of people) but it takes up too many resources.

We are buying a new chat software. We'll let you know when we do that. For now, you have to use the other one.

Boo. Well I ask because, it's normally only 2-3 regulars each game. Sort of boring.

Thanks.

That's because most people just chat in the game blog.

Before we had game blogs, we used to always have 20-30 people in chat during games.

Well I will be in the chat today for the Nuggets beating and I would appreciate a decent link so we can all get in there and talk Spurs ball.

Yeah I will be in also. The chat should be more active than it is. Hopefully people come in. :lol

game blogs own chat

I do some gimpy-ish play by play in chat if enough people can't see the game, if that helps the chat win over at all any, probably not :lol

might not do it on the nugs game since I got some papers due and not to mention it being 4:16am as I write this.

Yep. Game blogs are spam for making the post count look good.

Blogs serve the purpose that a lot of people are not online during the game and want to read an archive of what happened throughout the game, how the posters reacted when it happened, etc.

Chats are good because they are real time and good conversation.

So they are both good.

Here's the chat link, Alamo.

Ya once. For like 10 minutes. I didn't really care for it. I checked out the blog, and have been making an appearance there ever since.

What I don't like about the blogs. That you can't make a conservation.
When I was on the blogs and when I was asking for something I didn't get an answer.
And I like conservations, immidiate replies and rereplies and rerereplies

LOL and thats probably why I like the blog better. I'm not really looking for a conversation. Kinda like Kori said, I'm able to watch TV or step away for a bit, then go back to the blog, and see what happened for the last 10 minutes and see how people reacted to the game while I was away.

Usually people are pretty good at answering question related to the game. I ask alot aswell, as I'm in Michigan and the Spurs games are rarely on local programming. I get alot more from the blog than just looking at boxscores.

Just personal preference I guess.

You don't want to be involved in conversation because you'd rather watch tv than 'talk'. Your tv is supposly in the other room :rolleyes

I can't watch the games that's one of the mains reasons I like to chat with people.
