Spacial Thanks to Manu in his journalist role.

1 - Sportman: Bush or Fidel Castro? Why do you make the choice? What do you like to do in your freetime? Dance `salsa` and what else?
Fidel, because he was a good baseball and basketball player. In my freetime a read a lot and I learn Spanish.

2 - Mary Jo: Do you think your Get Fit With Bruce & Buddy Program has made an impact? How did you come up with this idea?
Yes, I think it is making an impact, more than anything else people are more focused on taking care of their bodies and trying to incorporate a better diet. It was in a class where I was suppose to make a mock press conference and at that time SA was ranked no. 2 in obesity and after learning that so many kids were diagnosed with type2 diabetes because of that I felt I could use who I am right now and try to make an impact.

3 - Gusano91: What do you remember from French basketball? Was that a good time? Have you ever came back? (or are you wainting Tony`s invitation).
It was a great time, a good learning process. Yes, I came back for tony's camp 3 years ago to Paris and then with the Spurs for the training camp last year.

4 - What city or touristic place do you like most of each city in which you played (Miami, San Antonio, Boston y Philadelphia)
Miami, such a diversity of cultures and I love the beach.

5 - Mdemian23: do you do any special 3p training?
Shoot as many as I can every day!! That simple!

6 - Gagg: which player you don`t like guarding?
Anyone that the officials give "touch" fouls to.

7 - Marogi: Do you think that USA TEAM players must be allstars or role players? Do you think you can be part or the team? Would you like to play the world cup?
That's a good one! I don't think they all have to be allstars, just some and role players. Sure I'd like, I'd love the opportunity.

8 - TonyCba: about the first time with Manu. Did you feel that he can steal you some minutes. Which was your first impresion?
Honestly I didn't know who he was, but once I knew he spoke Spanish, he was my new best friend ;-) . No, I didn't feel threatened by him being on the team.

9 - Roedorbasquebolero: Your defensive footwork is impressive. Sometimes it seems that you and your opponent are glued (which is good as long as the ref does not blow), and you're "dancing" with quick steps . Do you have a special technique additional to the fundamentals?
No, just a gift.

10 - Sandes: how did you become one of the most hated player for the opponentes?
Probably doing all the dirty work…

11 - Pablobualo: I know you like football and you like the Cowboys. Have you ever played? were you a linebacker?
Yes, I played a little bit in high school, on offense!!!

12 - Manteca: Can you tell us the story in Manu´s debut? Is it true that Kobe ask you `who is that rookie (about Manu)?
He just asked me, who the white boy was! And I told Kobe to speak Italian to him because he was fluent. I think he did.

13 - Jalberto: Are you deeply involved in your webpage? Have your fans a way to contact you there via chat or forum?
I answer all of my emails myself!

14 - Kuki: How do you accommodate your college studies to your NBA schedule? And what are your career plans when you graduate? Do your professors give you deadline extensions on assignments? Or are they hard on just you because you are "rich and famous"? And how do your classmates react when they realize that they have YOU in their classes?
At first they were kinda in awe, because an NBA player was taking his time to obtain an education, but a couple weeks I was just a regular student. They've been always very nice to me.

15 - Sotanzonlue: Who is your idol outside basketball and why?
I really don't have idols, I looked up to my brother a lot. I liked Joe Dumars, but he wasn't my idol.

16 - Crisaor: Who was the coach that influenced you most? Why do you think is easier for you make a 3p than a FT? who is the best defender of the league??
My high school coach, Bill Engle. No, it's easier to make a free throw…
It's hard to choose only one, but my top3 would be Ben Wallace, Alonzo Mourning and Jason Kidd.

17 - Neurus: What ´star´ do you like to guard most? Do you speak with your opponent? ou try to get them nervous?
I like to guard all the best ones, different talents, different challenges. I don't like talking too much.

18 - Dennis Rodman: I don´t remember serious injuries in your career but you always have physical contact. Is there any explanation to that?
I guess is because of a good preparation in the offseasons.

19 - Gonzalodomiar: What championship did you enjoy most and why?
Last year's, because the series went 7th game and it was good basketball, a lot of adrenaline.

20 - Mitsui3P: are you into martial arts or zen?, if so, do you practice any? (i've noticed the design of your webpage has some oriental influences)
No no!

21 - Luky: what advice can you give to a child who is learning defense? look the waist, the legs, the eyes?
Focus on the mid section (waist). The player can't go anywhere without that!

22 - Mora_doce: How is your relationship with other team´s fans? Do you have any funny story about that?
On Christmas day in Detroit I went on the floor and a fan says "merry Christmas, Bruce!" and right on top of him another yells "you suck, Bowen!!". It was pretty funny.

23 - Carina_cinomania: Do you ever think about coaching in the NBA after your playing career? Who do you think plays defense in a similar way as you? On a lighter note, choose one of this: Manu's finals hairstyle or Tim's now defunct Afro?
No, I don't plan to coach!! About the hair: NEITHER of those!!

24 - Lali: do you visit manu´s website, the forum or the Chat? Are you registred?
No, because I see him everyday!!!

25 - Florencia_arg: What would you like to know about Argentina? Have you listened some of our music?
Yes, I heard about Tango and his origins, and I'd love to have a MATE one day, but with my own straw!! He he . I listen to Diego Torres often.

26 - Disegaro: Why did you leave the Heat in 2001? What good memories do you have of the Heat?
I was looking for an opportunity to win a championship elsewhere. I had great teammates while I was there.

27 - Angelinside_n_out: Besides your studies, what other goals you still want to achieve?
Being a good father and a great husband!!

28 - Mattu: in last year playoffs semis against Seattle, Ray Allen said something about your defense and in Spain some call you Bruce `Lee`. Do you play "that" physical?
Ha ha ha!!! I didn't know that! I don't think I play "that" physical, but aggressively. Thanks for the LEE!

29 - Desde Saturno: What do you think about Argentina´s National Team? Who can be a surprise in Japan? Do you think that USA Team will recover the ´lost honor`?
I think they're a VERY GOOD team, I have no clue who can be a surprise and I hope that USA TEAM can bring home the gold again.

30 - Mono inquieto: Pop seems to be very strict. What does he ask you to improve? Does he give you more freedom or responsabilities?
He asks me to work very hard every single game and improve as a basketball player in general. He gives more responsibilities, but sometimes is a good thing to become the team we are.

31 - Zolrak: Was Muhamad Ali's figure important for you?
As a kid I remember he talked a lot, but most of the times he backed it up!!

32 - DanielaG: how much you do bench press?
245 I think…

33 - Raqui: Who is the best NBA player?
Obviously Michael Jordan was the best, Larry Bird, Magic and Hakeem. Right now… I don't know, hard to tell.

Thank you very much, see you!!

[Political Forum]I'm surprised the Neo-Cons aren't on him for this -- Bruce Bowen is a liberal and a communist![/Political Forum]

Yes i could say, he didnt give me a clear answer, but i could think he prefer Fidel Castro to Bush. Well as we know, his wife is from Cuba.

PS: manu recommend me to ask this question to bruce :lol :lol
