I'm thinking "no chance in hell" at this point. But I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks.

Just wondering if Brewski is sticking to his "Parker wont be an all star" prediction this year.

No. Yes. I don't know.

Spurs are struggling and the Mavs are on a roll.

I think those last 2 meetings in SA will be the deciding factor.

Nope. that belongs to Dallas.

Yes, Mavs will choke in the end.

Nope. that belongs to Dallas.

Please! Spurs will win the season series from the Mavs too - not that they'll need it.

Let's not forget, the Spurs have yet to hit their stride this season and they're still in first place.

Homerism thread. Dallas is taking the west. Diop is the secret to Dallas improved defense. Griffin has done a good job as well.

Spurs will eek out Dallas, as they always do for the divison which will ultimately decide the #1 seed for the West.

Besides, Dallas doesn't start losing til they realize it's a 7 game series.

This Dallas team is different. They play defense. :lol

I am confident they will win it.
I think they will play alot better in the second half of the season.

Dallas is always close to the Spurs in the division...but have yet to win it. I believe last year also, Dallas ended up only a game behind the Spurs.

Spurs will get their crap together, once Manu and Duncan can fully recover.

Possibly not, but it's not a big concern to me. While Dallas is certainly a top tier team this year, I don't think our chances of beating them in the 2nd round hinge on homecourt advantage (If they do, then we probably wouldn't have beaten the Pistons anyway.)

And we should still have homecourt over the 2nd and 3rd seeds.

With Dallas on a roll, it may be a toss up.

The Spurs have suffered injuries early on.. Who knows what injuries lie down the road for any other team..

It's too bad, but injuries play a huge roll in who makes the Finals and who goes fishing.

Let's just hope that this latest injury to Manu is our last for the year.

I too look for the Spurs to come out stronger the second half of the season.. They always do.

So, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Spurs finish in #1....

Not good enough. Sure, they've made strides, but you don't suddenly transform into defensive demons overnight.

Spurs will win this West!

I think they will win it still, though I do not think it really matters as even without HC, I believe the Spurs can pull out the championship.

Either way I don't care 'cause the Spurs are repeating. Some Spurs fans are fucking woozes.

Why do people often say things like, "they always choke at the end" or "they haven't done it before, so they won't do it this year either"?

Ummmm ... no team "wins a championship" or "doesn't choke in the playoffs" until their first time. Before the 1991 playoffs, Michael Jordan had never won an NBA championship in his previous six years. The Boston Red Sox had always choked against the New York Yankees for 86 years until 2004.

Why do some Spurs fans insist on saying something like "Dirk is the Peyton Manning of the NBA" or "the Mavs always choke down the stretch"? It's always the case until that first time. It's such a poor argument. Every season is different. Every playoffs is different.

No chance in hell? So you're telling me a team as talented as the Spurs who have yet to hit their peak and are already leading the confrence have no chance in hell of being the #1 seed?

No chance in hell?

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY STUPID POSTERS ON THIS BOARD?!?!?!?

If the 3 Amigos, Duncan, Manu and Parker play the rest of the games, the Spurs win top seed.

If anyone of them go down, the Spurs will probably end up around 3 or 4.

How many points did Kobe drop on the great *allas *efence in only three quarters?

Bringing up 1 game really proves your point. How about the other 42 games? Dallas is 8th in defense. yes they have trouble with Mcgrady/Bryant but have done well against everyone else for the most part.

I have no idea who's going to win the west, I'm just glad that we are finally injury free! (Dallas that is) What a blessing to be 34 and 10 and be through the toughest part of our schedule! We finally got some home games coming up, we've already played the top teams in the west and beat them. If we can continue to get better I like our odds, but who knows.

If Tim's PF continues to hobble his defense and reduce him to a jumpshooter,
Spurs will not win WC.

Tim looked tonight like Season/Finals MVP of 2002/2003.

The Spurs have both upcoming games against the Mavs at home in regular season (huge advantage), are finished with Detroit.

Who is left to fear? Spurs roll to one seed!

I bet the mavs win 1 of those on the road. The mavs are 18-6 on the road so they fear nobody on the road.
