We fell into instant like and friendship. We laughed a lot and were always comfortable with each other.

We fell in love gradually. It was faster for me, and happened before I recognized it. I remember when he told me he was dating someone (that I knew), it was like the world suddenly stopped spinning. Everything felt off and I just wanted to sob. I could hear a tiny voice in my head saying, "But he's supposed to be with me." and being so startled because I had NEVER thought of him that way before.

They were only together about three weeks and about two months later, I invited him over and cooked dinner for him (but seriously just as friends) and I got really drunk and something clicked that night between us. He leaned over and kissed and we've been together ever since.

We knew about a month into it that we would get married, and always talked that way to each other. That was four years and three days ago. . .

I think it was even slower for him, but we wound up on the same page at the same time, so it worked out.
