Amare Stoudamire. Seriously, the guy is Atheltic and can dunk but that is about it. I am not just judging based on the Olympics (which he played terribly in) he to me is the Jevon Kearse of the NBA. What I mean is he is a "freak" he is an unmatched physical specimen who everyone seems to think is one of the best players in the NBA... he seems like he just picked up a basketball last week he can't pass, he can't produce in the low post... all he can do is rebound block shots and make amazing dunks.

the rules over there do not help him
I saw a couple of good moves he had though
plus the lack of good outside shooting did not help him

that statement probably covers over half the current players in the NBA right now

Athletic + dunks + not much else is probably two thirds of the NBA.

I don't think it's fair to Amare to judge him on the Olympics, Larry sure sucked it up on how he used Amare.

And finally, I don't see how anyone could watch any part of the Olympics and not come to the conclusion that Richard Jefferson is the most overrated player in the league.

Three years from now people are going to look back on NJ's signing of RJ this summer like they look at NY's paying Allan Houston out the rear.

Amare is far from the most overrated.

Anyone who still thinks Antoine Walker can help a team should be smacked around a bit.

Kearse had 36 sacks in his first three season, before being hurt by injuries. Kearse is a stud.

Overrated = Jermaine O'Neal

With that shooting percentage and less than 10 rebounds a game in the East, and they call him an MVP candidate??

Please!

Amare Stoudemire is a hoss. Don't let FIBA confuse you. He'll be a top seven player in a few years if he keeps up his current growth rate.

I'm sorry, but I might have to put Tracy McGrady in the overrated category. Sure, he's a great scorer, and cannot be guarded, but anytime a player like McGrady loses 19 games in a row in the East, that raises an eyebrow or two from me.

Robert Horry is the most overrated player in the league. He made a couple of clutch shots in his career. Other than that he sucks ass.

Vince Carter, how did he earn so many All Star votes? The guy was a sensation a couple of years ago, but now he looks like past his prime.

Just explaining why great stats mean jack in the NBA, if you lose 19 games in a row, you're pretty much smoke and mirrors when it comes to being a great leader for your team.

Overrated?

Put his overrated ass in our 4 spot, move TD over to 5, and I wouldn't complain one bit.

I might even crack a smile.

Amare is far from being in the overrated category in my opinion. FIBA is tough on big men and he's still very young. Amare is the real deal and he is only going to get better with time and coaching.
