OK so LJ and I got some really good tickets for tonight's game (sec 24 row 6) and we went there early. As the Spurs were warming up Kori takes me down to the edge of the court with the idea that she'll try to introduce me to Rasho.

So we are there patiently waiting for Rasho to finish his routine when Eva Longoria walks in and sits down like a feet away from where we were standing. I don't remember exactly what was going on but this french reporter was complimenting her wardrobe or something (personally I just hope I wasn 't drooling - at least not too much). At this point Kori leanş toward Eva and calmly says: "Hi, my name is Kori Ellis and this is my friend, he's visiting from Slovenia" - How I managed to say a polite (and hopefully calm) "pleased to meet you" while shaking her hand is beyond me but you know I'm not washing my hand ever again. :)

At that point I was ready to rename my first born after Kori, but that was not all. As Rasho was trying to leave the court, Kori intercepted him and dragged him over to me insisting that he must talk to me :lol. He did and was pretty cool about it. We had a nice discussion before he left. He asked me about the situation with Union Olimpija (out local club) and what the hell I was doing in SA :lol.

Then Pop actually showcased all his healthy players during the game for me (I'm pretty sure Kori arranged that too :) ).

I can't even begin to tell how much fun I had tonight and how hot Eva looks in person.




Oh, and the Spurs won - I think.

Coincidentally, I sat in almost the exact same seats last year for the Charlotte game -- Section 24, row 6. I can vouch for that being a great time and (for someone like me whose season tickets are up in "Club 200") a unique view of the game. Glad Slomo had such a good time and the opportunity to meet Eva . . . . (and Rasho).

With Rasho's play against Miami and Charlotte, and Beno's breakout last night, there must be some Slovenian connection that Slomo brings when he's stateside. Maybe the Spurs should just subsidize a trip to the States for Slomo in late May and June. (that, or tell Rasho that Ben Wallace is really Slovenian and that national pride is at stake.)

I hope to attend my very first Spurs home game @ SBC sometime in the last month of the year. I hope. I won't ever have those good of seats or be able to meet a player but that's a cool story!

I got to attend a preseason game last season Spurs @ Memphis. I was standing beside the tunnel at the Pyramid as I had court passes by JERRY WEST! He is the uncle of my moms friends-friend who hooked me up for my birthday. But the people at the 'Mid was jackasses. They wouldn't let me go anywhere close to the court before or after the game and made me go back to my box seat! All I even did was stand in the area Jerry Wests security guard said I was allowed to! Such jackasses I swear. I was so upset but at least I got to see Tim Duncan up close. He ignored me as I was the only person in a Spurs uni and as he walked by til I said "Turn around you sexy beast!" He slowed down and turned around and smiled at me as I snapped a picture.

Just getting ready for the today's stuff. Yesterday was a loooooong day so I'm a little tired, but nothing tragic.


Weather loooks nice (it's quite a bit colder than in SA). It's been less than a year since my last visit to Vegas and there's a lot of things I don't recognize and a few things that are missing (like entire casinos). These people build fast :wow
