Taken from Quck Sips of this mornings E-N.

But was he out of coaching box?

If ever an officiating call ought to be
investigated by the civil-rights
commission, it has to be the technical
foul called on Tom Penders for having
the audacity to have a heart condition
that caused him to collapse at courtside
Saturday.

The Houston Cougars coach fell to
his knees, plopped on his face and left
on a stretcher. The refs thought he was
reacting to a call and gave him a
technical.

Even when Penders' medical state
was discovered to be the cause of the
collapse, the refs REFUSED to rescind the
"T".

Penders was OK. But what if he had
died? Is that a double technical?

Wonder how the NCAA will view using this ref again?

It's been a hot button topic here (I work at UH). People were pretty pissed off about it.
