Kidd's 3 point shot has really improved, shooting a nice % this year.

A near triple double (a big triple double) against the Pistons.

Nice effort indeed.

Detroit had cut the lead to 1 on a Billups 32ft threepointer and Kidd came down, faked a pass, and when Billups bit on the fake, Kidd hit a 3 to put the lead back to 4.

Excellent game. Chauncey heated up big time in the fourth but Kidd steadied the ship and hit big shots to hold the Pistons off. Kidd's shot looked really good this game, as good as I have ever seen it.

The only Piston who wanted to win tonight was Chauncey. Sheed,Tay and Rip were throwing up junk all night. Some of the worst shooting I've ever seen. We must have had 5 or 6 airballs tonight.

Terrible.

Time to start another 8+ game winning streak I guess.

Let me see if I have this right, the Pistons can lose 4 in a row and still have the League's best record.

So 1 loss doesn't seem like anything to get excited about.

It just keeps the mighty Pistons humble.

Well in 2003 the Nets swept the Pistons. In the Pistons championship year the Nets pushed them to 7 games with a disabled Jason Kidd out there who couldn't walk.

Just one of those teams for the Pistons I guess.

Kidd is having a great year shooting the 3 though.

Freaking Washington had a 15 pt lead with 3 mins to go, I had $100 on them -5 pts against Indy. What happens? Indy hits 4 of 5 three pointers, and Washington misses 5 of 6 FTs down the stretch to win by 5 points....therefore costing me the win(I pushed, but I was counting that money)

Damn I wish the Spurs had gotten Krstic.actually he was playing the best games of his career this season . I put a him on the watch-list before the Spurs-Nets game recently.

Also had 19; 11 rbds pts against Seattle the other night.

P.S.
tonight he had 19 pts 5 rbds had to sit most in the 4th bec. of foul trouble.

According to the New York Daily News, Krstic has been playing with a badly bruised finger. That didn't seem to bother him on Saturday & tonight. Consider him a solid start as a No. 2 center for the upcoming scoring period.

Detroit began the evening as one of two Eastern Conference teams with a winning record at home and on the road. Miami was the other. San Antonio, Dallas and Phoenix own the distinction in the West ...

With a win, Detroit would have come within a victory of matching the franchise-record 13-game streak set in 1989-90 and equaled in 2003-2004.

The Pistons also would have finished 14-1 in January, their best record ever for that month ...

I would have liked 15-1 for the month, but by and large I don't give a toss about winning streaks. (Now, streaks of holding teams <70 get me WAY geeked, but those days are gone...). Mainly I'm pissed that our All-Star-caliber PF, who can hold his own head-to-head with players like Duncan and Garnett, seemed to have some allergy to posting up. Also, this touched a deep insecurity of mine, 'cause part of this gaudy 37-6 record was built on hot 3-point shooting, and that's a house built on sand....

That stuff killed the Spurs those Laker years, nobody made a three, Lakers threw all 5 guys at Timmy. Steve Smith, Danny Ferry, Hedo Turgoglu, Bruce Bowen. All shot flat in the POs after having some alright reg seasons.

When Detroit loses you can usually blame on their three point shooting. In half of there losses they have shot 20+ threes in the game and made about only 20-25% of them. The other three losses they were around the low 30's in percentage. They are almost like the Rockets when they won back to back with Kenny Smith, Horry, Cassell and Elie jacking up the three. Yeah defense is their thing but they do like the three ball.

And with good reason. Name me a starter outside Ben Wallace who can't make one? Name me a contributing bench member outside McDyess? Exactly.

The team is built to use the three effectively. Looks like the Pistons didn't execute past their second or third option tonight.

I wanted to see a streak of at least 12, going for 14 (break the franchise mark). In every season the Pistons have made it to the Finals, they have a streak of at least 12 games.

They shoot waaaaaaaaay too many 3's. I hate it.

But they have been making them all season. This last game, very horrid. When a whole team minus the PG are 2/21 from downtown, would that be an indicator to take it to the paint?

guess not.

What is happening to Big Benny? Is he still has some injury problems?

The ref job was not the greatest...Ben was frustrated with them. He was held or pushed with no foul called. One of the first plays I do believe Ben was shoved from behind with no call, even though it was blatant, but that may have been the game before.

But those refs. They called all the ticky tack fouls, but let the physical stuff go. We just didn't get very physical.

I am not using refs as an excuse. Rasheed on offense looked like he had never touched a ball, Rip and Prince were horrid, although Rip was held alot. All in all, a total team loss(outside Billups). New Jersey outplayed them, and we still had a chance to win, even with us playing like shit.
