The Spurs play 4 games in Staples Center and 1 time in Phoenix in the month of March. I have a choice: buy tickets to all 5 games and sit mid-lower level for all 5 or buy tickets for just one game (against the Lakers) and sit in Row A of Section 102 (courtside seat, the first row of seats directly behind the Spurs bench).
What should I do?
Oh yeah, if it helps, I'm on vacation the week of 3 of the games (including the Phoenix game), Staples Center is about 2 hours away (counting weekday traffic) and Phoenix is about 5 1/2 hours away (with no traffic).

You've sat courtside many times before -- So I say, go to all five games.
If you had never sat courtside before, then I'd say just go to the one game.

I've never sat literally courtside, but I've sat as close as Row 6 before... I think it's a little overrated (don't get me wrong, it's great...). I'd say go to all 5 games.
I have sat courtside at the Dome and the AT&T Center, and I wasnt really impressed either time.
I'd do the 5 games!

You paid $875 to sit courtside at the AT&T center?
I think sitting courtside is awesome and very impressive. But I'd rather see five games of basketball than one.
I got the seats from Miller at the AT&T center. It was a preseason game versus the Knicks in '03
Columbia 300 had courtside seats at the Dome, my Dad and I went when Seattle was in town, they shouldnt allow children when GP is in town, hes a trash talkin mofo!!!
dont get me wrong, courtside seats are badass, but I like to kinda sit about 8-12 rows up, I like to see the whole floor, and watch things develop. You cant see that as well when you are looking up most of the time.

I sat courtside in the dome several times, and I'd still do the one courtside game. There is just something about being courtside that kicks total ass.

Hmmm...regular season?
Courtside.
Horry For 3!

I rather go to more games than just one. Plus Mid-lower level isn't too bad.

Right behnd the bench? Oh that is tempting. But I agree with Kori

But if it helps, a part of my voting for the five is selfish. I want all those in person reports from you. :angel

I voted for courtside for 2 reasons. One, because it would be really cool and two, because all that travel time would really SUCKS :elephant :elephant :elephant :elephant (sorry, cowboy_me_kr :lol )

To me, you can go to a regular season game and sit in an average seat anytime. Sitting courtside, especially sitting near a team bench would be a much more interesting experience. But if it's the playoffs, then I'd rather go to every game I could.

Better go to all five. You know the courtside is great but the game shouldnt be that way. If the game is boring or whatever I would pick the 5 games.
Altghogh the courtside gives you a chance to hear something from the players.
I've never been to a game with such a crowd before. :(
Go to all 5 you've got zooming in your camera do you? :spin

I think the courtside one will be more memorable.

Thanks for all the feedback, although it sucks I can't see the results of the poll without voting myself. Well, I'll have to vote something just so I can see it.
Kori brings up a good point, I have sat courtside before (one of the times being the Clippers/Spurs DOT game last year, I was by the Clippers bench and even had Kerry Kittles take my pen). I've sat courtside by the Pacers bench in San Antonio one game. But in Staples Center I'm usually in the 3rd row section 105 (totally threw off Malik one game, he was looking for me there but I was in section 102). Still thinking ...

Yeah, you should really consider that, the team would definitely appreciate it.

Man, courtside seats to a Spurs game would be a dream come true.

If anyone is interested in my final decision, I decided to get the courtside seat to the Lakers vs Spurs on Monday, March 6th.
The decision was based on #1) driving to Staples Center from where I live now is brutal, #2) It's an unbelievable experience sitting courtside and #3) there is an off-chance that I could end up with some free tickets through connections at work so I could possibly still go to the other games.
Oh yeah, Mrs. Tlong - my significant other hates basketball, especially the Lakers. He wouldn't be caught dead at a Lakers game. :)
Thanks for everyone's input!
