honestly I did not think that my newborn was "pretty" untill she was about 8 weeks old. Other peopel would gush about how gorgeous she was.... I was like .. ehhhhhhh. I loved her sure.

My mom had this routine where she would bring her latest baby home and set him/her up in the crib and then let all the older kids file in to be introduced to the baby. It was apparently a magical experience with my older brother -- his siblings stayed transifixed with him for hours. When I came home she went through the same machinations, the older kids filed in the same way, took one look at me --

-- and immediately went into the other room to play with my brother.

My sister says I looked gorgeous about a two weeks later.

Those are great pics, Obi. The kids are adorable. I have a pic somewhere of my daughter about when she was about the same age as Isabelle in a pair of her dad's boots that he wore for hunting. I think they come all the way up her legs. It is so cute. I love those kind of pics and memories. Take a really deep breath and slow down time and enjoy every second of this part of you children's lives.

note: Gabriela is a crazy motherfawkah from 'da street and will kill you in your sleep. She also feels that a Denver trade is coming and we will be ok after Kiki eventually leaves (sad). She's not really a fan of Boyk as is I. She said he's a liability and only sells tickets. She feels we need to give DJ more time at the 2 spot. I agree.

Gabriela really doesn't like Manu's style of play. It reminds her of the old Stockton/Malone/hornycheck days (which freaks me out because she wasn't born yet) but admits the Teh Manu can NEVER lose. We love Teh Manu.

My daughter had the pointy-est head. Ever. I think I kept that little cap from the hospital on her until she was 6 months old. And my son was 2 weeks late, so his skin was getting a little white/scaly looking and his nails were really, really long.

I lucked out on the pointy head thing since my daughter was c-section. But I was expecting her to come out bald or with a little blonde hair since I'm blonde and fair and her father was a red head and fair. She came out with a full head of thick black hair. Everyone looked so shocked when she came out. Thank god my father had black hair or I would have been totally screwed. Her hair eventually lightened up to blonde after about four months.
