So what do you do at a reunion? Is it 1, 2, or 3 days of activities?
Give me some tips.

You go to some place and talk to people who you went to school with that haven't seen in awhile

I didn't go to mine, but it was a weekend event from Friday night through Sunday with different activities. Some geared toward families, others just for adults. I haven't talked to anyone from highschool since graduation, so I didn't have a desire to go.

I'm putting my high school's 20th together right now.
You meet up with people you knew in high school, remember old times, show them pictures of your kids, embellish a few facts about recent achievements, say "let's get together soon", go home and not talk to these people again for another ten years.
It's fun.

I am thinking Friday night party with your friends that you hung out with like at someone's house.
Saturday have a dinner and a GTG afterwards like at a club with a private section, etc...
Sunday is not necessary, I think that is enough.
Ya think?

Two days is more than enough.
We did a Friday happy hour and a Saturday picnic and a more formal dinner/dance/crappy awards ceremony at our last one.
This time around I think we're skipping the Friday thing altogether.

Yeah, that's what I am thinking. I have a few buds that I would like to hang out with but mostly I am not interested in the whole hoopla of a reunion.
I went to West Campus so half of them are probably in prison or dead anyway.

We have them every 5 years ... they just had my 15 year one this past June. I didn't go. :lol
Our 10th one was pretty fun...much to my surprise. Friday evening we all met up at Far West Rodeo and got loaded ... Saturday night they had dinner/drinks/dancing at the Hilton downtown ... Sunday they did a big picinic/barbeque for families at a park. :)

Well, we are going to meet up tonight. We tried to get a 10 year reunion going but couldn't get enough support.
The main reason that I know of was to many activities, to much jack and the total disagreement of musical flavor.
Some wanted to go to a dance club, crap like that. Most of us aren't into that, therefore the whole idea went down the drain, so a few of us just met up at the club on Grissom and had a few beers and went home.
And Ed is right, we exchanged numbers but never called each other again until now...

I helped with my 10 and will be starting to plan this year for my 20th next year. We did a weekend. Friday night a mixer, Saturday dinner/dance and Sunday a picnic. We had a blast.

So what do you do at a reunion?
go to where everyone is meeting....don't stop by the desk to get your name tag....
stop at the bar and get a beer...sit off to the side and drink your beer, waiting to see if anyone recognizes you....
go back to bar get another beer, get stopped by someone who actually knew you in HS....Start chatting with them and have other people come up to you and start asking you if you went to the same HS...
Proceed to tell those people who were to fucking stuck up and too snobby to be your friend what you really think of them...
leave the bar to go party with your real friends...

RashoFan, this is good.
It's funny because my husbands 20th HS reunion is not until next year and they already sent him a friendly reminder. :lol

We're having a "40-year HS Basketball Reunion" in March.
Our teams were a mini-dynasty, state and "mythical" city champs for 1964, 65, 66, 67.
SA's John Marshall HS went went 30-3 in '66 and were AAA state champs.
We gave them all 3 of their season losses. :lol That same year, we beat R.E. Lee 2-1 in the seson season series, then next year they won AAAA state.
Overall 4-year record of 118 - 22, 84.2%, with a streak of 46 Ws.
(Like an NBA team averaging 69 - 13 for 4 years)
40 years on, everybody looks back and sees it was an unforgettable, remarkable, magical time. http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smielephant.gif
Everybody's very excited, players, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, wives, adult kids. Got people coming from Dallas, Austin, Beaumont, LA, Lubbock.
Gonna have coverage at the Spurs game (block of 56 seats and half-time/jumbotron presentation), KABB/FOX, Express-News.

If your popular like me, that doesn't work.... plus I was the shortest dude in the history of the school.
I'm wondering if reunion crashing has the same potential for easy ass that wedding crashing does.
"Holy shit. Suzie, from English class? Wow Suzie, you look great! Now, I have a confession to make. I had the biggest crush on you in high school! I'm ashamed that I'm just telling you now, ___ years later. But now you even look better than ever! Do you wanna go get another drink and dance?"

My 25th is next year in Monterey, CA. I am somehow going to be working with one of the gals I went to HS with who is back in Monterey, to help coordinate contacts. There are very few who stay in contact. I did not go to #20. I think there were only a few score there.
