I was with my daughter the other day in a local book store, and came across Andrew Gazes autobiography, and flicked through to see if it had anything on 'Australias greatest basketball players' stay with the spurs. It did, and it had two kind of interesting chapters about his stay, his friendship with Steve Kerr, and how everyone from David on down treated him.

Anyway, there was one really interesting comment in there. Im paraphrasing here from memory, but anyway it went something like this.

"We had just won a game versus some random team on a last second sean 3 pointer. We were in the locker room, when all of a sudden Pop bursts in, takes off all his clothes and lies stark naked on the floor pumping his fists and yelling, and then gets up puts his clothes on and walks out. It was a good win, but it wasnt THAT good!"

Its not word for word, but thats the general gist of it.
If that didnt scar the players for life, i dont know what would.

Diemrbong how old are you mate?? im also a yob-asian from down under in melb currently. Andrew Gaze is the biggest homer than sean elliot imo when it comes to doing games commentary, love the way how he was on TDs nutts in the olympics praising him every game. It was funny to actually see him sittin on the bench then runnnin onto the court celebrating the spurs championship victory against the knicks, that last 3 shot ur talkin about was against the jailblazers in the 2nd round i think.

This yobbo was the larry bird in australia domestic league, too bad i dont follow the nbl no more.

Im 25, unfortunately not a yob or asian, and i live in Perth. I never actually liked Andrew Gaze, but he definitly tore the NBL up over here (which isnt saying that much really) - not that the league has been worth following for some time now...

I think i vaguely remember a rumor about this..........or maybe it was that Malik incident.

ur probaly mistaken that for the recent incident with him and nate robinson on his back while malik bend over to pick up the soap :lol :lol

I remember that game....

I especially liked how Ellie turned and talked shit too the H Town bench after he drained the three.

If what Bond is saying is true then It might have been that game b.c in the championship vid they show a brief clip of Pop kneeling down and smiling/laughing, and Pop usually doesn't celebrate alot.

It is nearly impossible for me to imagine this incident happening. :lol Probably some sort of self-defense mechanism.
