I like the Lakers now suprisingly. They're fun to watch; Kobe is awesome to watch even though he's playing horrible right now.

Could be a perfect night for Spurs fans re the teams they are chasing perhaps for HCA (I cannot believe that right now Spurs only 2 losses and in reality 3 back of the formerly streaking Pistons) and the Mavs they are tied with. Now 68-72 near end of third and Kobe just beginning to heat up. Although Kobe was blocked on one play "in his face by Dampier", but Kobe got it back and did a beautiful 360 to get fouled on next play.

Update Dallas had a surge at the end on a beautiful play by Harris and up 8.

Still this game is not over.

Kobe is 4-16 and the Lakers are still hanging around.

He's probably due to make some shots. 4th quarter should be a good one.

Thought I had did the same to the Hawks but they roared back, LAL used up a lot to get back to the tie, will see if they can get it close.

I predict it will be a close finish even though these Mavs are an impressive team right now - more I watch them, more impressed.

If Kobe and Odom wake up, Lakers have a chance. I believe they're currently on a 3 or 2 game losing streak?

Mavs now up by 15 again. Lakers expended a lot of energy getting back in it. Kobe on bench watching the debacle.

Wow, Kobe hit that three from the behind the hash mark. What was that 29-30 feet? Hash mark is 28 feet from baseline.

Phil Jackson sealed the a-hole of the year award for himself tonight. Never liked him...but man, what a baby. "Okay guys, we're going to lose. But if we pout and don't do what the refs tell us...at least I can leave with my dignity! Or at least some sense of revenge..."

What happened?

Wow Adrienne long time no see.

Tough win by the Mavs. Didn't think they were going to win this one. Still, what's up with those intentional fouls they keep on throwing around? That reach-in by Walton on the rebound, George bumping Stack then shoving him (obviously a technical), etc. were completely unnecessary.

adrienne
02-07-2006, 11:52 PM
He was pissed off, and so he intentionally took a delay of game technical. It was so retarded. The refs sat their blowing their wistles repeatedly while he just kept talking to his team. They finally t'd him up, and he lets them go. What a "statement".

Solid D
02-07-2006, 11:59 PM
It was the old touch foul at one end, physical non-foul at the other end, home court officiating thing and the Lakers didn't like it. Life in the NBA.

adrienne
02-08-2006, 12:01 AM
Yeah, I could understand Phil getting that pissed off if it had lost them the game...but they weren't exactly playing well. It didn't effect the outcome. Bad calls happen.

mavsfan1000
02-08-2006, 12:20 AM
Phil Jackson expects the star treatment. Since it is his team that the refs will give him more calls. What an asshole. I didn't mind him when he was with the bulls but now I hate his arrogant attitude.
