Hill revealed his selections for the 55th All-Star Game. Coaches vote for players in their conference and can't choose their players. They must submit a roster that includes two guards, two forwards, a center and two "wild card" players. Hill's roster included: San Antonio's Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, Minnesota's Kevin Garnett, Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, Phoenix's Shawn Marion, Utah's Mehmet Okur and Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers.

That's because the other guard spot is probably going to be taken up by Ray Allen... and since he can't pick his own players....

Interesting for Hill to vote for two guys that his team hasn't yet played this season.

Yeah, he probably figures Manu doesn't have much of a shot this year, so there is no use giving his vote to a guard that DOES have a shot (baron or paul). Shrewd move by Mr. Hill.

It's his little :flipoff to Pop and the Spurs. He uses his votes trying to ensure that instead of spending a relaxing weekend resting and getting healthy Pop's guys will be traveling, dealing with a media circus and all the other crap that comes with being and All-star.

CIA Bob all over.

Very plausible reason indeed....

Chris Paul deserves it over Manu this season IMO. It's sad that rookies get no love though, and Paul has no shot of being in Houston.

I think Tony will make it by coach vote..
but not so sure about Manu this year.

no melo, camby, gasol, or barion davis? baron i guess falls out, but i think the other 3 are more deserving than manu or okur. You can make a case for M. Okur but camby's sticks out more.

I've said this before, and barring injury, Chris Paul WILL be in Houston.

I think The Truth hit the nail on the head. That was my first instinct and i couldn't believe everyone was praising him.

perhaps he is trying to say that the team won 3 championships not because of Pop, but because of 3 All-Star players. ie, I could have coached them to 3 championships if I wasn't fired.

He made the right choice in picking Parker, but instead of picking someone where he could be a deciding vote, he wasted it on a player that had no chance in getting in, ensuring that Allen would still have a higher percentage.
