Duncan's presence makes some opponents scared of this team.

and that makes Toronto so excited tonight and made those 3 players contributing 35,30,25 against us.

there shld not be another OT, TP has 5 fouls already.

Bruce Bowen's D was HUGE in the overtime. He was guarding Bosh and fronting him and Bosh didn't touch the ball. Plus he had that huge block.

What a big game for Tony/Fin/Marks too. Congrats all around. This was a gutty win without Tim and does big things for confidence and momentum to kick off this stretch of the road trip.

Sean and Rasho did a great job making up for the absence of Tim Duncan- they were a combined 15-19 with 30 points and 13 rebounds-- and they each even had a put back dunk tonight! :)

Tony was great and Finley was clutch on offense and Bruce on defense.

I am worried about Rob- I don't know if he is going to be able to play for a while. His abdomen looked like it tightened up again when he tried to take that charge. :(

more like 86. But either way, Bosh is becoming pretty good at the offensive side of the court. Only thing he has to really work on his defense.

I actually felt kinda split on this game. Should i root for my team the spurs, or for my hometown team to win so they can keep in the playoff race.

I think he's awesome .. or I should say he'll be awesome eventually. But I thought it was interesting that he didn't touch the ball in the whole OT when the Spurs switched Bowen on to him. I know it's partly because your guards were ballhogging, but also because Bowen frustrated him a lot by fronting him.

James, Bosh and Peterson combined for 91, not James and Bosh.

But, Mike James's play was disgraceful in the late 4th and OT IMO. This is the perfect example of somebody playing for a contract. Some GM is going to be duped into throwing $8 million a year at him this offseason because they'll see the stat-line of tonight's game and be wowed. Too bad the statline doesn't show Mike James, hot hand or not, chucking up horrible shots throughout crunch time. The statline doesn't show Mike James chucking up a prayer from 3/4 of the court deep when the Raptors had plenty of time to call a TO and run a play after the Bowen shot was blocked at the end of regulation. The statline doesn't show Mike James not getting Chris Bosh, who was 11-18 from the field and no Spur had shown capable of defending, a SINGLE touch in all of overtime. I've never seen such selfish basketball in my life.

Dude, you can't totally blame that on Mike James.

Bosh didn't work hard enough for it. Bowen was playing great defense, and Bosh let himself get locked up. It's hard to get him the ball the way he was being defended, and Bosh didn't work hard enough to get himself good spacing to do something.

No man, this happens almost everytime we don't send Calderon out to handle the ball in OT. The standing around is just James taking the clock down so that he has to take the shot himself. I've seen this happen many times already this season. Granted a lot of James' chucked shots went in tonight, but we won't be so lucky all the time.

20 minutes- 3 rebounds. Not impressive. He showed up on one play tonight. You don't get to act like you saved the game when you sucked for 19 1/2 minutes. There's a reason Pop wouldn't put him back in until after all 5 other bigs were incapacitated. He decided he would rather go small when Rasho fouled out than play Nazr.

And I am still trying ot figure out what big rebound you are even talking about. He didn't have a single rebound the last 3 1/2 minutes of the game.

All he had to do was lob it over Bowen. The help defense would come and Bosh would either draw a foul or kick it out and find the open man for an open shot.

If anyone says they have always loved Pop, they are either lying or are only Spurs Fans AD (After Duncan).

Im neither, I was a proponent of pop being coach in the summer of 94 when hired to run the org ah ni zation.

Whoosh! What a game! I got to see bits and pieces of it while I was at work. :elephant

That last putback by Sho was gorgeous. A little better defense at the other end and he would have scored the game winner. One of these days... I'm telling you.
Fear the Sho! :king

Tony and Kiwi were awesome. Everyone contributed which to me makes it an even greater win.Good to see Rob back as well.

Michael Finley looked pretty good though it seemed like everyone on San Antonio looked good against the Raptors. That team is just lazy on defense. They don't get to their man in time.

Who's claiming he acted like he saved the game? He certainly didn't outplay our other bigs but he grabbed 2 boards in 4 min of overtime and came up with a big block down the stretch. He played well in the OT, that's all.

Relax, no one is bashing your precious Rasho.

Yeah he is very streaky. Now he'll have 4 mediocre to poor games to follow before another quality game.

Yup. Tim is setup this way often and he's generally fronted be guys bigger than Bowen. If the guards really wanted to get the ball to Bosh they could have. Bosh should have demanded the ball.

At any given point at any given game...Every Spurs player makes a contribution...sometimes it is good sometimes it is not....
Nazr contributed in OT and it was aprreciated....
BTW...
