He's sold out to TW, TCs,Gunn and the mother of all sellouts, Hallmark Institute. So who in your opinion is Manu best suited to pimp.

P.s The #1 sell out goes to Malik Rose and the Accident and injury pain centers commercials,

I think his next string of commercials will be for Adult Video Megaplexxx.

Yup, and shortly thereafter, he was traded.

We could only be so lucky with Manu.

Sure do.

I know I may be the only one in SA, but he only plays, what, 37 games per year??

He'll be burned out by the time he's 30.

Better get rid of him now while he still has some trade value.

Think about it...

I don't understand the reasoning behind this topic.

It's pretty common that players do local commercials in their market.

When I lived in Denver from 92-95, I got sick of the Dikembe Mutombo, Laphonso Ellis and Bryant Stith commercials......

:pctoss

I think San Antonio is not used to see their players do a lot of commercials because they are a one team town. People don't notice as much when the Missions are in commercials.
Also the faces of the Spurs franchise have been Tim and David for the last decade, and I am guessing that endorsements were not high on their lists of priorities.

Hell, I'd do commercials for Tink-A-Taco if I were paid enough. Oh, and if I played in the NBA.

I bet those Dikembe commercials were awesome though.

I always wanted Deke to pull a DRob and guess star on Sesame Street. Just so I could see him have a conversation with the cookie monster.

Timmy has done commercials for Gunn and HEB for several seasons now- very well I might add. :)

I wish Rasho and Beno's agents would get them some endorsement deals. :angel

Tink-A-Tako rocks.

Especially the one on Ingram Rd. Been a long-time customer there since my sophomore year of high school (God, was that really ten years ago?).

[00:00] Begin Rasho game footage montage with Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'" music. Footage contains multiple missed shots and rim clangers. Include free-throw footage.

[00:08] Begin Rasho voiceover.

"Da, I is Rasho Nesterovic from San Antonio Spurs yours. When time you to build dream home, bricks you buy from Acme company."

[00:15] Fade game footage and music to Rasho building a wall with Acme bricks. Beno is in background dropping brick after brick off his foot.

"With bricks so many, building house easy and affordable. You not need untradeable contract to see value in building brick home."

[00:23] Fade house-building footage to descending sky shot on hot tub inside brick home. You see Beno outside the house window with his face pressed against the glass. Sound up slowly on "Big Pimpin'" music. RashoFan and Angel_luv are in hot tub with Rasho's arms around them.

"Bricks Acme make home of yours go from bench-time to prime-time."

All three laugh as Acme Brick logo fades up over video.

[00:30] Fade to black.

You sure talk about selling out a lot. First it was the Olsen twins, now it's Manu (and Malik). What's your definition of selling out? Anybody who is successful at something? Someone who makes more money than you? Anyone on TV?

In the case of the Olsen twins I use sell out as "One who is made popular by the coporate shoving them down throats of the world."

As for Manu I mean it in the mostly literal sense, doing what everyone else does and using himself to sell products. I meant no ill meaning to it as I did Mary Kate and Ashley. He's actually done some good commercials like that Gatorade one where he balls against the Devil. It's not my fault if some people here took it in the wrong context.

As for Timmy's commercials they are better, cause they are more thought out, the last two years of HEB commercials have been top notch. They aren't just using Timmy's name to sell the product, but a little humor as well.

I thought Manu's Time Warner commercials- especially that first one where he was hanging out in " his house"- have been good.

Moron fans ask, "but who will do the Taco Cabana commercials"

Yeah, I actually remember hearing that a few times.

Some people think once a player starts endorsing something local, it means they're Spurs for life.

Does Malik still play basketball?
