11 poiints and had 12 rebounds in the 1st quarter. 12 rebounds in a quarter broke Shaq's Orlando record of 11.

magic looking good but i doubt they can hang long. it'd be good to see them roll the pistons though.

Yeah, Howard was snubbed, but this will only make him better.

Howard is a beast. I see many all-star games in his future.
BTW, they should go after him hard for team USA. In 3 years he will be one of the premier big men in the league.

Howard is working the entire Pistons front linei think the addition of Rasheed on the Detroit Piston's team made Detroit "the team" in the East but right now it shld have been Howard over Rasheed in the All-Star reserves.
he's leading the league in rebounds and 4 Pistons in the ASG is i think too much, IMO.
now he's making a case.

He didn't have a rebound in the 2nd quarter, guess we jinxed him :lol did have 6 points and a block, though.

Already the top rebounder in the league and a class act...sort of Robinsinesque. Great future for the young man.

Howard has already committed to play for Team USA. It didn't make headlines because he wasn't Lebron or Blowbe.

He set another record in the 2nd quarter (shared with many) by not getting any rebounds in the quarter. :lol

Howard still doesn't have another rebound and Hedo has made three awful passes in a row.

I love Howard.
Dwight's gonna be a huge star, evident only 2 years out of HS and he's already bulking up, good attitude, the anti-balla, execellent RBs, a scoring enough for a small double-double.

Rasheed shut up his critics, for now. He was awful in the first half, but caught fire in the second half. Y'know, I can't blame Dwight for the Magic's record considering he's the only good player they have. Once again, he has a great game, and no one else plays well.

Dwight is a stud. I look forward to the next 10-12 years watching him develop and own the league.
Orlando soooo needs to get rid of Francis.
Tonight:
34 minutes 9 pts 3 asts 4 rbs 1 stl 1 to 30% FG%
Jameer is a much better option for them.

Nice game for Rasheed tonight. 26 points including 21 in the second half.

That's Rasheed. Coasts for the first half (2-9 for 5 points). Dominates the second half (8 for 12 for 21 points). Dwight is great and all, but he wins the "1st quarter championship" tonight. His jump hook looked great tonight though.

Orlando was waiting on Francis to step up. If he had the Magic had this in the bag. But once again he is a failure.
Would Howard be the youngest player in history to lead the NBA in rebounding if he kept up this pace?

I finally understand the whole "draft Howard before Okafor" thing now.
I didn't think he was going to be that good that fast.

Howard easily would be the youngest player in NBA history to lead the league in that category.
Dolph Schayes led the NBA in rebounding as a 22-year-old in the 1950-51 season -- the first season the NBA started compiling rebounds as statistics.
Wilt Chamberlain was 23 and Bob Petit 24, for instance, when they won the title. Players could not leave college early to be drafted by the NBA back in the day, let alone leave high school as Howard did.
Moses Malone was plucked out of high school by the American Basketball Association in 1974. But he didn't lead the NBA in rebounding until he was a 24-year-old Houston Rocket.

I just wanted to point out for all of Dwight Howard's first-quarter heroics, he finished the final 3 quarters with 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Rasheed Wallace finished with 26 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. Ben Wallace finished with 5 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal in a Pistons 84-73 win.

Same can be said for Ginobili and Parker. When either is hot Spurs are one tough mofo.
Rasheed lives and dies by his three and hs three is streaky.

Nah. He can dominate games out of the post. His ass just doesn't like to be down there that often.

He's not exactly the Pistons version of Antoine Walker. He sets up the three pointer so it's a high percentage shot he's taking. That's why he's at 39% this season.
