I dunno... probably the other 65% of the people that own the team with him?

You guys get pissed at the Spurs ownership all the time, but don't ever forget that Red basically gave the Spurs to San Antonio when he sold to the local partnership instead of out of towners.

The collective ownership has an interest in keeping the spurs here, something that no other owner would have.

So Ducks, Bill Davidson is your answer. He's always left the basketball decisions to the "basketball people" which is all you need out of an owner. Fostered a competitive F/O and demanded a classy organization. Michael Heisley has quickly supported the evolution of a winning team as evidenced by hiring JW and supporting the moves that has made a young team really good.

I also think that the Maloofs are okay because they're both tough and outspoken, but in the same breath I could say that Cuban is great...BUT NOT FOR THE SPURS.
