Horry, Finley, Van Exel, Barry a combined 2 of 15 and four point. Beno cold have done that and played better D than Barry or Finley.

Watch the NJ game??

Trap, turnover.

Carlisle is a good defensive coach.

Udrih wouldn't have made it past the opposing FT line.

Van Exel sucks. My god.

This Finley/Van Exel experiment gone awry...

If only the Warriors had released Fisher... One can dream.

Udrih versus Jasik could have worked. Udrih versus Johnson would have been scary.

It is NVE that needs to be benched. Much like Finley, if he's not hitting his shot he has no affect on the game. You hardly even know he's out there.

Yes, Beno needs some court time.

Udrih doesn't have to be the primary ball handler. He's effective with Manu or Parker. His defense is better than Finley's or Barry's. In fact his defense is fairly solid.

Bernie (from a Weekend at Bernie's) could have defended better than Barry or Finley.

What games have you watched? I'll take Beno's D over Finley's seven days a week. Only reason Pop had to keep Finley in over Udrih was to not breal his confidence butFinley has been a disappointment, the occassional impact gameseperated by days of suckage.

It's not like he would've done any better against Fred Jones. As LJ said, maybe Sarunas, but that's about it.

Maybe he wouldn't have bit on every pump fake. Maybe he would have stayed down on just one.

At least Finley has showed up for some games...I've yet to see Nick really make an impact.

Beno at least plays with energy, and moves without the ball. If Nick doesn't have the ball...you'd never know he was on the court. I don't care, we've played half the season...nick hasn't showed me anything. Wait for him to play in the playoffs? Pfftt.

Play Udrih.

Beno has better latral movement than Finley. In fact Beno fights through picks and sets up on picks better than Parker.

Beno might have hit a jumper or two. I can put up with the shitty defense if he can hit a couple of shots. It's not like Fin and Barry were stopping anyone OR hitting any shots...

Parker gets rubbed off his man on the pick and roll every time. Go back to the face painting table, carney.

To me he seems more productive than Van Exel. Yeah he had those turnovers against Detroit and he doesn't have the offensive brillance that Van Exel sometimes has, but the offense seems to flow more easily. Should Pop play him more? Will he stick with Van Exel hell or high water?

You have so many stupid posts that I am starting to wonder if you are just being stupid on purpose. Is that the case? Is it just a gimick, or do you really know nothing about basketball?

Beno is playing really well most of the time he is out there.

I still think Beno is going to see limited minutes in the playoffs unless Van Exel is a total failure, which will probably only happen if his elbow is complete mush.

But its playing out well for the Spurs as far as their future goes at the backup point. Beno has looked better out there this year than he did last year which is what you would most expect in a second year player.
