http://www.nba.com/news/pow_060213.html

NEW YORK, Feb. 13 -- The Washington Wizards’ Gilbert Arenas and the San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday Feb. 6 through Sunday Feb. 12.

Behind Arenas’ averages of 31.8 points, 7.3 assists and 2.3 steals, the Wizards posted a 4-0 week with wins over Orlando, Golden State, Cleveland and Philadelphia. Arenas posted his sixth 40-plus-point outing of the season with 45 in the Wizards’ 129-124 victory over the Warriors. On the day he was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star squad for the second time, Arenas collected his sixth double-double of the season with a 32-point, 10-assist effort in a 101-89 win over the Cavaliers.

With the Spurs in the middle of an eight-game road trip and in the midst of a franchise-high nine-game winning streak, Parker averaged 22.7 points and 8.3 assists as San Antonio went 3-0 for the week with wins over Toronto, New Jersey and Indiana. Parker led the Spurs with a 32-point outburst in a 92-88 victory over Indiana.

Wow. Who was the last non-Duncan Spurs player to win Player of the Week (besides Tony)?

I think it was Mr. Loyalty... Anyone else?

Yeah, Bruce Bowen was once...I think it was 2003? I can't think of anyone else since then. According to Timmy's bio, he's wone POW 17 times and Player of the Month 4 times in his career.

Aren't you the one who said would not post for a year if the Spurs won the championship and when they did, you were here posting the next day. When people point this fact out you basically brush them off by with a "F*ck You, I do as I please!"

Now I don't believe I can lower myself more than that, Tpark.

Oh pardon me.

I will do as I please, I do not need you all's approval. Thank you. :)

If I'd done what you did, even in a www forum, I would be ashamed of myself.

Your credibility is half a notch above The Writer's

Parker's award and the Spurs atop the power rankings was just too much.

Well, let's see...maybe it has something to do with the fact that he had Lebron James on him the entire game. A player who has a good 5 or 6 inches on him, not to mention 3 times more muscle and power...:shootme

Tony just wouldn't/couldn't shoot the outside shot last night...and that was all they were giving him. There was nothing in the paint, and that's where he kept trying to go.

He's still working on it, I know...he'll get better yet, and that's scary.

Well the first realy bad game by TP in all season.

What do you (many of) thought it would be?

TP's consistence is outstanding this year. He now may bouce back vs the Iverman the fresher Iverman. go spurs go.
