This is a joke. Pheonix was alot better last year than any Dallas Mavarack squad this year, and we beat em 4-1. Detroit is playing good reg. season basketball but Flip ain't Larry brown. Brown knew Tim and Manu were unstoppable and basically forced San Antonio to play as good as they possibly could. If they didn't Larry knew the win was possible. If they did, the answer is simple: Either double Duncan or he is going to take it to the basket, score, or miss, get the rebound and score.... or you do double him, and he pops it to Ginobili, Bowen, Barry, Horry, or parker for a wide open shot. Pop knows exactly how the Pistons hurt the Spurs and knows the mismatches he can exploit with his players. He simply did'nt utilize them when they played because it would let the cat out of the bag. When they play in the finals, I'd like to see parker play better than last time but Manu and Duncan and Horry will impose their will in that series. Pistons win game one in Detroit, spurs win game two, spurs win two out of three in San Antonio and Finish it in Game 6. Let the Fiesta BEGIN BABY!!!!!!!!

Nice post, but beating the Pistons in Detroit is a taller order than what you described. And the Spurs aren't exactly lights out away from the ATT.

currently they have the 3rd best road record in the leauge. Pretty damn good.

Dallas- 19-7
Detroit 19-7
Spurs 19-8

and a few of those came with spurs injuries.

My opinion is that Detroit is clearly gunning for the Spurs. They are thinking of San Antonio and no one else. It could be a problem if they overlook someone in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but that is not likely. If both Detroit and San Antonio remain healthy and they meet in the Finals I expect Detroit to prevail in a hard-fought series.
