At least he hasn't tried to tie this to Cheney and Halliburton...yet.

Peter, you got owned in the Cindy Sheehan thread bigtime, go spread your theories eslewhere.

Yeah, I suppose my forte is not creating conspiracy theories about insignificant events.

Certain facts are insignificant because that's how you want it to be.

Nah, that's how most people feel about Cheney's hunting misadventure or Sheehan's ejection from the SOTU. Well, at least the sane ones.

You must be insane then. Avoiding or ignoring the truth and labeling is the best way you can win an arguement. Because you have nothing else.

So are you saying that you're the only one allowed to ignore the truth and use name calling?

Are we all just a bunch of loonies, because 98% of your posts are just that.

free speech

has its consequences, like being suspended (or fired sometimes) from a job.

Uncle Donnie

In most jobs (outside the entertainment industry, for xray) this would get you fired. As a teacher it seems especially egregious.

Has to be some kind of union thing that a guy can do this and only get a 10 day suspension.

Is it as bad as people make it seem? No. But he should be fired, I went to Judson and its a pretty diverse school and you have everyone from whites to blacks saying nigga all day in the classroom and nothing ever happens, but a teacher should know better than to repeat it. I feel bad for the guy because I really dont think he meant it in a bad way, but he still said it.

It would make a good Chappelle Show skit

It would make a good Chappelle Show skit

Did you see when Chapelle was on "Inside the Actors' Studio" and James Lipton used the terms "honkey"and "white dude" in an effort to relate to Chapelle? It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Talk about life imitating art.

HAHAHA I laughed my ass off! but I really think those people are overreacting. I think the guy is a dumbass, but not a racist.

:lol

Not gonna argue that one way or the other. My point wasn't to say that what he did should get him fired, but rather to point out that in most jobs today, that definitely would get you fired, and it would seem this sort of thing would apply even more to the job of a teacher. I don't see how this guy gets off with just a 10-day suspension.

This is one of those situations where the explanation sounds good in your head but you should still just keep your mouth shut...

We've all been there.

Peter

He doesn't seem like a racist but I don't believe it's very professional for a teacher to act like that. Surely teachers can be expected to maintain a certain level of decorum even when kids are running their mouths. I too am surprised that he received such a light punishment and also that the student is still in his class.

^Teacher was a dumbass, and that kid was overreacting.

That's all i have to say.

Video was hilarious.
