One word to express the last 2 games: PATHETIC
Spurs win 6 straight on the rodeo road trip and loss the last 2, fucking gay
Spurs should of won this game, they didn't fucking play worth shit or hussle much because they didn't have to play another game until the 21st as 76ers have a game tomorrow. LAME

well thank manu for this loss, that missed free throw down the stretch of regulation had a downhill effect on us and him being a pussy with the last shot of the game obviously sealed our faith, oh well at least i got money from the vbookie thing on the road trip thread

I could troll and say you guys are in no league with Detroit and that we own you in this millenium...but I won't do that because you guys are playing just as well as we are. This shit happens to the best of teams. I will leave the trolling to George Bush.

Finley was much to blame. He missed the 1st ft and make the 2nd to be up by 2 and then he didn't even block out and allowed 76ers to get an easy basket to tie it up.

that's what i mean on the downhill effect manu had with that one missed free throw, if he made that one it wouldn't have come down to what finley did at the end

Tim could have ended the game in regulation. He held the ball to deliver the direct pass. What he should have done is dump a bounce pass for Parker to retrieve on his way to the hoop. It would have been about a half a second faster, more time than Tony's layup was late. There was room. His man was playing between him and the basket, and Tony was above them both.

Spurs shot 75% from the line. That more than you can expect regularly from this bunch.
What cost them this game was the same thing that cost them last game: turnovers and shoddy defense.

SPURS will wake up when they are sitting at home looking at the WCFs on TV.
Our defense is not there! 54 pts in the paint for Philly! 25 fast break pts!
Its Obvious MANU cannot bail the team out every night! Also goes to show how much confidence POPS have in Barry (the 3pt specialist!) to not even play him tonight!
The team is soft!!!!! Phoenix and Dallas will feast on this in the playoffs!
The SPURS need a players only meeting and do some soul searching!

this loss is on manu, he forced it when he had korver on him and barely got fou calls,
i dont understand why he took the last shot so quickly and off balance, if we still had 8 seconds in the game.
i think that not getting to the allstar game got to him more than he wants to let us know

What´s my point??............you make me laugh :lol :lol .........he didnt score any point in the last five minutes of the game and in the OT. As always, he vanishes in the important minutes, Manu and Tim had to struggle alone beyond all mistakes they could do, at least THEY TRIED. During OT i forgot parker was playing because he was always hiding in the corner, EXCUSE ME but that shouldnt do an all star player :pctoss

I didn't see the game, but Tony made no positive contributions in the play-by-play in the 4th and 0T, except for 1 jumper with 6 minutes left. That's a hell of a long time for an an All-star PG and #2 scorer to disappear while his team collapses and loses.
Maybe Pop told him to disappear and throw the ball to Tim and Manu?
A totally fucked up game totally given away to an inferior team, just like the Cavs loss.
6-2 numerically sounds good (and it seems most fans can't see past the overall record), but fucking up the last two games of the RRT is anti-momentum.

ok, well Rasheed Wallace has a championship, and is an all-star. does that mean he is a superstar too? the rap album, party, oprah, and hollywood girlfriend has nothing to do with basketball, so im not sure how that qualifies him as a superstar in basketball. he has no business being in the rap industry. im willing to bet $1,000,000 that the rap album is garbage. if we are talking about popularity, then yes, he is a superstar. but thats not what im referring to.

since their is no set definition of superstar, then its your opinion not fact. An opinion that currently I happen to agree with. He is an all-star, and IMO if he continues to improve I think he will reach superstar status.

Did you hear the postgame at all?
Tony said that after the 3rd quarter that they wanted to run the ball thru Tim and Manu, and that there wasn't much he could do.
People assume that Tony disappears even when that's not the case.

yea, but i have no clue how someone can be considered a superstar, when they arent even the best player on their own team. hes not even the second best player on the Spurs. his stats certainly are not superstar statistics. sure, he has 2 rings, but so does derek fisher. now im not saying derek fisher is better than him, but the "rings" thing in basketball is somewhat overrated. the only kind of player where rings can truly attest to someone's greatness is a Quarterback in football. IMO, he has no business being called a superstar. i think it is insulting to other superstars that have worked a lot harder than he has to be great. he has had Tim Duncan his whole career. if i recall, Kevin Garnett never had someone to take all the heat off of him. Dirk has never had that guy to take all the heat off of him. Jordan CERTAINLY never had someone to take heat away from him. but Parker has both Duncan (who is arguably the greatest PF to play the game, and draws incredible amounts of attention away from Parker), and Ginobili.

Very true. I do think that while Parker is not the best player on his team, he is playing the best this season. I agree with you about the whole "not the best player on the team" angle. Scottie Pippen was referred to a superstar as well but definetly not the best player on his teams.
I think KG had his chance when he had Alien and Spree but he blew it.

i personally dont think pippen was a superstar either. he was an all-star level player, but that was it. i dont think he should be on the list of 50 greatest players. without Jordan, he would have just been another ordinary all-star.
