If anyone would be interested in discussing it, I'd be all about changing the offensive categories to eliminate AVG and include either OBP or SLG. Batting average is a crappy indicator of a player's value; if we're just worried about how often he gets on base, then let's do OBP instead, so that guys like Bonds will have their full value reflected in the league standings.

I've never played with AVG. OBP is a much better metric for measuring the quality of an offensive player -- besides, OBP includes batting average, but reflects players who are most dangerous because they are on base regularly.

I'm looking to acquire a power hitter or two. I have a closer to offer (1 of Rivera, KRod, Benitez, Burgos, or Papelbon). What I give up depends on what I can get back. I'd expect to get all-star/superstar quality for Rivera, KRod, or Papelbon. Prefer a guy with good power who plays 1B or 3B, but will take one anywhere I can get it. Will also do a package deal involving a position player or a SP if that's what gets the deal done. Make me an offer.
