They should have. After all, they were playing a Bob Hill coached team.

While inspirational, l'd take another look at the Sonics roster.

Even though Sonics have a shitty frontline, any win that invovles our 4's and 5's playing extermely well makes it that much sweeter. It's a confidence booster and could lead to this kind of play for future games.

Yeah, Nazr started for his "Good play on the road trip".
Rasho:
8 Points (4-7)
6 Rebounds (5 Off)
1 BLK
TO: 0

Nazr:
11 Points (4-8)
5 Rebounds(3 Off)
4 BLK
TO: 1

Oberto:
9 Rebounds (8 Off)
2 Steals
1 BLK
TO: 1

Timmy had a good game with 13 PTS, 16 REB, and 5 AST. Horry didn't play.

Watch out Detroit. :smokin

You left our Rasho's 2 ASSISTS.

I am curious- when Rasho starts and gets 5 rebounds, that is awful. When Nazr starts and gets 5 rebounds- including two in garbage time off of his own shots getting blocked, he played great???

Bigs don't really get judged by there passing skills excpet in rare cases like KG or Divacs/Miller, usually only points, rebounds, blocks. And all of the bigs rebounds were against the Sonics frontline which is composed of......nothing, so rebounds were easy to comeby which is why the Spurs bigs got lots of offensive boards.

Don't know that it says anything about Nazr, but it sure tells me the Spurs aren't trying to move Rasho. You would NEVER bench the guy 36 hours before the trade deadline if you were trying to trade him. You would wait one more game.

Unless there is already a deal in the works and they wanted Nazr to get used to starting again.

Correct.

Rasho actually played more than Nazr tonight.

The most interesting thing to me tonight was that Rasho probably looked the most relaxed he has looked all season. I have never seen him smile so much during warm ups. It was almost like he had been waiting for the axe to drop all season, and now that it had, he had his peace of mind and could just play ball. Now, Nazr- he looked uptight.

I agree, just stating that it was possible, though admittedly not likely. Also I didn't realize Rasho played so much. My first post was about us showcasing Nazr, or even Oberto. Just a funny feeling to know that this could have been the last game for one of our Spurs.

Not with Robert Horry hurt. We need Tim, Nazr, Rasho, and Oberto.

The only thing that really makes sense at this point is a salary dumpof Barry or Rasho, but that's an extra-dicey proposition given all the injuries this season.

True- with the injuries to Manu and NVE. I hope we stay put. We could end up needing Barry.

Do you feel that the Spurs ability to acquire free agents would take a hit if we were to trade NVE, Finley, or even Barry? My main concern is that these players came here for less money, and it would give us a black eye.

Not so concerned with a backlash from Barry though, considering that his statute of limitations to perform his job has run out.

Can't trade Nick.

Bad juju to trade Fin.

Less so for Barry since he's been here a season.

Maybe he had a nice vacation. I saw him at the airport Thursday with two of his buddies, both of them looked to be over 6'-4". They were talking in Slovenian (I think it was Slovenian) going through security. I was in line just ahead of them. A good vacation can put anyone in a good mood.
