Anybody else think the Mavs are primed for a fall here? Those Grizzlies are fucking tough as hell.

grizzlies seem to always let you down when you need them

I see how that's true from your perspective... they should have beaten us twice this year only to drop it very late.

It will be a good one to watch tonight. I'm also looking forward to the Pacers-Pistons game.

I hope Dallas does lose this game because If I remember correctly their schedule is pretty easy next few weeks.

Anybody else find Jermaine O'neal's comments about the Pistons to be odd? Nothing against the Pacers, but I dunno how you can hope to have the Pistons in the first round. As my dad used to say, he's cruisin' for a bruisin'.

It's dirt simple. If they beat the Pistons then good for them. And if they lose, then it's that much better to lose in the first round as it leaves more time for fishing.

Grizz or Indiana wins tonight, and Kobe goes for 50+

Book It!

Valid point. If you've gotta lose, get it over with early. Why not just miss the playoffs entirely? For what it's worth, I hope Jermaine's dream comes true :lol

I think this will be a tough game since Pau will be rejuvenated after the all-star break. I think the mavs win this game 94-89.

I want the pistons to have a very comfortable lead again over spurs, and mavs. memphis isn't as good as they were earlier in the season though.

Memphis up 7.

I smell upset.

Dallas several times trailed for most of the game this season and then pulled it out in the 4th.
Mavs finish much better than the Grizz.

Dunc
02-23-2006, 09:24 PM
45-31 Grizz. 46-41 Pistons. Things are good in Piston-land :D

Grizz extremely hot shooting 61%, but Mavs had a very hot 2nd qtr and now at 50%.

The Grizz will cool off and lose.

Somebody wanna tell me why Diop is starting over Dampier? 11 min at half, 1-2, 3 PF. No rebounds.

Leetonidas

For shot blocking I guess. Dampier is a douche bag.

61-58 Mavs. Mad props if they can pull this one out. Btw, Pistons up 67-59 after 3. Ben Wallace has absolutely gone off. 11 pts in the 3rd alone, lol.

What the hell happened? I left to go to class with Memphis leading by 20 something points only to return (country's declared on State of Emergency) and I see the Mavs up by 2?

I know you guys hate Mason (Pistons PA guy), but how can you hate any PA more than that dumbfuck for the Mavs? He's a fucking cheerleader with an expensive public address system. That's retarded. That's Cuban :D

WTH is up with Memphis they give up leads more than anybody since the Spurs during the 2000-2002 seasons.

Shit.. the mavs pulled out this win with an injured Josh Howard.
He only played 19 mins then sprained his ankle.
Grizz will be worn out against the Spurs tomorrow.
For whatever it's worth.. thanks Mavs! hehehe

Yeah. Outscored them 16-11. What do the Grizz average on offense? 89? Oh yes, and on a team 10-deep, why does Dirk play 39 min and Terry play 38? They should easily be playing stackhouse 30+ (he's on my fantasy team :)) too, right?

Anyway, Memphis: 1st quarter - 31 points; 2nd half total - 31 points :smokin

HAHAHAHAHA

I honestly thought the Mavs would lose.

ptp39
02-23-2006, 11:05 PM
what happened was defense showed up 30% shooting in the 2nd half and the mavs just kept playing their game. Like I posted these are not the same mavs that you guys want to bash. I seriously hope that the spurs take the same opinion that this forum takes when they play.

wtf is the vbookie thing????????

Everybody starts out with $500. Everyday, I put some bets up about games, etc. (It can be like regular bets, who's going to win, or stuff like who will score the last basket, etc). You bet and win or lose money. If you lose all your money, you'll get another $25 and start again. It's just for fun - obviously not real money.

Well the Spurs luck out, Howard is down likely with a sprain and will probably miss a week or 2. That sux! Why can't we face top tier teams with a healthy roster? Oh well still 7-1.

The Spurs are as close as their going to get to healthy. Duncan was looking spry the other night. He's not going to get much healthier during this season.

Haha ... the Mavs win. Grizzlies are tough, but the Mavs are tougher than them. We keep fighting eventhough we're down by 19. The Mavs will be the champion this year.

I actually missed when it happened...I think everybody did. Here comes Josh limpin down the court and you could hear everybody freak out lol Definently don't want to lose Josh. On the replay they showed on the screen...it looked bad but not horrible...definently didnt look as bad as his sprain earlier in the year when he stepped on Devin's foot...But he went in the tunnel right next to me and daaamn he was in some pain, you could tell.

Someone said that he could be out a couple weeks. I'm assuming that's pure speculation as he probably won't have an MRI until morning. Anyway, I hope he doesn't miss much time.

Yea, me neither. This whole top half of Texas is hoping the same. :lol

I want to see another replay. He did come back in the 2nd quarter and tried to play some more. I can't imagine that it was all THAT drastic if he came back in the game.

We'll find out soon enough I guess.

"Why can't we face top tier teams with a healthy roster"

Why can't the Spurs have a healthy Duncan for a full season, esp in the playoffs?

Mavs are lucky Tim is struggling along at 50%.

queeniesuck

Injury is part of the game. The Mavs lost to the Spurs too because Ginobili injured Dirk knee in 2003 Western Conference Final playoff. And we also have our share of injuries too this season with Stack, Marqueis, Keith Van Horn, Josh, etc.

There's no way Dallas was going to beat the Spurs in 2003 even when Dirk was around. We could probably make it a little interesting (just like any other all-offense team) but eventually our luck would've ran out. This year we have a much better roster and a much more realistic shot.

I agree totally man. The mavs team was of 03 was a soft in the front court. Duncan could have his way with them. With Bradley, Lafrentz, Dirk, and Najera in the frontcourt maybe Najera could've done decent but the others would get abused by Duncan.

Pandaemonaeon
02-24-2006, 02:49 AM
Duncan was having a Wilt Chamberlain-type playoff performance (to differentiate from his MVP-caliber seasons - something that's normal for him) during that year too, so I thought Najera's spunk and effort was commendable. I mean he managed to piss off Timmy and squeeze out an emotional response! That's got to be worth a king's ransom at EBay!
