Chicago and Minnesota were granted a trade deadline extension from the league.

The Griffin/Madsen idea makes some sense, since Chicago is pushing for a playoff spot and could use some size to aid in that effort.

KG is a Chicago guy, though. And most teams in the league would be exstatic to acquire him, no matter the cost.

That would be stupid for the Bulls. All that young talent for just KG.

What matters is making sure it's kosher under the CBA. There's also the likelihood that one side is trying to squeeze more out of the other. There's also instances in which a player has to give his consent to be dealt.

The Sacto-Portland one.

Is that a deal that's separate from the earlier 3-way? ESPN is showing off its trade tracker by running that deal through it, but the deal they have in the trade tracker includes Sergei Monia going to Seattle and Skinner going to Portland. If it's part of that deal, there may be another lingering out there somewhere.

Deadline is like 5 hours passed now, and there are a few things the league are reviewing...nothing huge though...this all according to Rick Bucher (*spelling?) on the Sportsbash on ESPN Radio brought to you by the New ATT.

Yeah but I thought they would make some major moves, like sending C-webb or Korver, I knew AI was staying.

They sent Lee Nailon and a 2006 2nd round pick to Cleveland for a 2006 pick or something like that
